I am a proud owner of a '79 Solar Gold Trans Am. My father bought it brand new, and I used to love riding in that car growing up in the 80s. Before he passed away in 2015, he gave the car to me. I made the Phoenix in game as close to my Trans Am; pretty similar to all the options you selected. Only thing I did differently was add the Iron Mask grill as the '79 grill is flat (and change the color to gold obviously).

One of the first cars I ever got in the game. Gave mine matte black with offroad tires and took it on many missions. It's a good car to start with for beginners.

Can't give a hard time about this one ;) Perfectly noted the subtle cues to the Camaro ( tail lights, front of bumper shape ) while noting it getting most of its visual cues from the Firebird/Trans Am-- always liked the unique color of the Imponte Phoenix stock wheels, Good stuff!

This is a very cool car, I love it and it is very fun to drive! I have never owned this car before so I got it off the road today and upgraded it and put full coverage for the insurance. I also customized it exactly the way you did. Anyway, great video DCA!

Back in 2015 when I first started playing, I made my crew emblem the Firebird logo just for this car! Love it!

The phoenix definitely needs new customization, especially liveries (gold pinstripe, with maybe a gold like bird or animal on the hood)

The Phoenix needs more love. I wish Rockstar would give us a couple more versions; I've even come up with some ideas. 1: The Phoenix Classic (looks like a mix of the 1967 Firebird and the 1969 Trans Am). 2: The Phoenix B1 (looks like a mix of the 1977 Trans Am and the 1980 Trans Am). "B1" is a reference to "Smokey and the Bandit" with "Ban-One" on the Bandit's license plate from the first movie. 3: The Phoenix FC/FB (working rough concept title). Primarily based on a mix of the 1993-1997 Formula and the 1998-2002 Trans Am/Firehawk (although mixed design is mostly based on the 1998-2002). 4: New Phoenix based on what a modern version could look like if the Firebird/Trans Am was either never discontinued or if it was brought back.

Ah, the Phoenix. One of the earliest things I remember when I started playing GTA:O was seeing the rear of this car, with the huge Daytona wing on its back, zooming past me, and I just had to find out what vehicle that was. Ever since I discovered it was the Phoenix, I've kept one ever since. And dude, you should totally make a video on the OG Invetero Coquette

Lol you got pretty close to how I built mine! (Also Bandit inspired). I'm one of the "car guys" and my favorite bit of this entire game is the cars, I live and play to just add to my collection. Shame nobody seems to do car meets for pc players, sigh. If I had a vote on the next OG vehicle to customize, I'd go for the spawn-set Coquette. Apologies if you've already done it and I missed the vid but it's a gorgeous little car with a nice sound, it's cheap and easy to get your hands on, much like irl it's an american car trying to compete with a ferrari, and it's not much loved for a car that is actually pretty damned fast and good handling in game to actually use. I'd love to see what you could do with one!

It’s just that the used a similar body and beacuse of oil crisis they lowered the engine to its min potential then added a turbo system and it only made about 210 hp and the 77 trans am made in the 300 hp But either way they are both nice and Burt Reynolds drove both years

I hope GTA 6 gives you the option swap a hard top for a T-Top in the vehicle custom shops. Of course, this option would only apply to models that have the T-Top option. In GTA 5 you can do just about anything to Imponte's Phoenix and Ruiner models except add a T-Top. If you want one these with the T-Top, you have to steal it from an NPC or be lucky enough to find one parked on the street.

you know back in the day on 2013, this was my first car(the first one that I've stoloen and storaged on my garage) and I painted it like a yellow and black camaro from Transformers 1 or idk I was very young, I used to drive it everywhere with it, but when the Zentorno and the Rapid GT and the Kuruma came along, I kinda forget about my old phoenix, until now, in 2021, I stole one from an NPC(god rest his non explosive proof soul) and I remembered good times. thanks for Reading have a nice day :D

You should do a mini series where you customize arena war cars to look “normal” like, the zr380, or the imperator. Also, doing others like the impaler. The aw impaler has big rear wheels so you could make it into a drag car

I think the iron mask upgrade is supposed to be something that resembles the 1979 T/A, so instead of making two trans ams the just gave the normal one a grill mod
