I'm really feeling like GTA V will prove to be the outlier in the series. It's all looking like GTA VI will be grittier and more realistic akin to GTA IV, bringing back many of those mechanics and others from San Andreas. It will probably also bring forward all the core mechanics from RDR2 including things like a personal vehicle (instead of a horse), being able to inspect items LA:Noire style, the banner that appears with the weather and time of day when you arrive at a location, the honor and wanted systems (a modern version of the bounty from RDR and the rumours suggest San Andreas-style gangs are back), street fighting as part of the plot, and the leaks show that RDR2-style random encounters are a definite. One of the leaked videos also shows improved car crash physics and damage which are more realistic than GTA V and look more like a tighter version of what was seen in GTA IV.

Happens with all of the GTA games I remember being told we'd have seasonal weather in GTA 5 leading people to say there was a real calendar system which turned out to be nothing more than an online event around certain holidays they said we'd get DLC which ended up having no impact on story mode ... And these were just the things that were over exaggerated or misunderstood there were outright lies like you said with the tires where there was no truth to anything at all ... I’m not sure how I feel about having to sleep in gta 6. Bully did that, but it was obnoxious. I hope you don’t just black out, all though it would add some stress and strategy to your gameplay. If they decide to do that, I’d want to be able to have a camper van or an RV, especially with how big the maps supposed to be. It would be cool if not sleeping impacted your sanity rather then just blacking out. Or rather if you blacked out after a certain amount of days. That would be fine too.

Initially i was going to say that not only am i fairly certain a lot of these " features" are pure fiction, but also that i hope even that they arent real. I enjoy RPG's thoroughly but there is such thing as overdoing it, especially in the GTA series.. But on 2nd thought, the thought of being able to have an actual legal occupation in this game is kind of intriguing. The concept of living a double life actually sounds like a lot of fun, using businesses as fronts and actually being able to work the job ( should be optional of course) seems like it would add an extra layer of immersion. In past games the characters were exactly what they were, criminals. Very transparent so it would be cool to have options like that available i think

Nah...and I only see the cop thing working if it's tied into the main story... remember little nightmares dlc with the gnome? And it ended up being the boy? Imagine this GTA 6 started off with a prison break where a police officer help aid your escape but dies in the process, the dlc could be like "this is the life of the officer months before their death" Or imagine the whole game ur being hunted by a task force and the dlc is about the inevitable end of the task force (like a agent Milton dlc for rdr2) But yeah great ideas 💙🙏🏾💯

The ambitions should probably be taken with a ton of salt anyway - can't imagine they'll bring it all in so that the casual target audience can really have all-around fun with it. You can see very well in RDR2 that realism is extremely well received, but by no means could generate such a reach as the much more arcadey GTA. I'd be really happy if this time they also split their resources so that online and single-player expansions would be possible. The online part will certainly get a lot of attention, but I personally am not interested in it. Therefore, I hope that DLCs will really come that complement the SP in a high-quality way. Gladly also as paid DLC, if the quality is right. If the rumors are true that the world will be supplemented by complete cities, etc., they could of me even per new large area again charge the full price. The main thing is that there is then also enough content in it.

This all sounds like a bit much, especially the things to add realism. Starting to lose health mid mission because your character didn't get a nap doesn't sound interesting, it sounds annoying. I don't mind new idle animations though, Saints Row 2 had those and I freakin loved them. Stop in a spot and your character might pull out a guitar, sit down, look at their phhone, or even join in a cheer.
