I remember being 7 and convincing my mom to buy gta on ps1, then her friend told her about it and hid it. Few years later I played vice city on Xbox in secret, and then San Andreas.. I was 15 when gta 5 trailer dropped, and when gta 5 came out I went to the midnight release. I was 17 I think? I'll be 29 when gta 6 comes out. Crazy how fast time flies but seeing gta and games evolve so much is amazing

The publisher said in an earnings call that they expect a MASSIVE increase in revenue in fiscal year 2024. The fiscal year for them extends to around early spring 2025, I think. So unless it's delayed, that means April-ish would be the latest.

Fiscal year 2025 is March 2024 to April 2025, Take Two have said for 6 months now that they expect a 7times profit increase in fiscal 2025 from fiscal 2024, from 1.25 billion USD to 8 billion USD. Early 2025 is definitely the planned release date as of right now.

For GTA V, the first trailer came out November 2011.The second trailer came out November 2012!!! The game FINALLY came out September 2013. That was a 22 month wait, nearly 2 full years. Development takes a while, and that's even with Rockstar's bad reputation for terrible crunch hours. My gut feeling says they are aiming for Fall 2025. Red Dead Redemption 2 followed a similar 2 year announcement to launch cycle.

When GTA V originally dropped I knocked it out in just under two weeks because we were heavily anticipating GTA Online which dropped two weeks after the single player experience. If they're continuing development throughout 2024, the marketing planned is likely to go 6 - 8 months? so the ideal window for Take Two is March 2025? If they don't make that window it could hit September - December 2025. Plus, this is Rockstar - If they're not ready, they won't drop it. 2026/27 could easily be a possibility.

PS1 was 1995-2000 (5 years), PS2 was 2000-2006 (6 years), PS3 was 2006-2014 (8 years), PS4 was 2014-2020 (6 years), PS5 came out 2020, and based on the average, PS6 should be 2026. So they'll drop this on PS5 in 2025 & then drop a "Remastered" for PS6 in 2026. Like how they did GTA 5 (released on PS3 in 2013 & then remastered for PS4 in 2014)
