Great video, you actually showed many things that others didn't mention or at least I havent watched as many analysis videos that do. I wish they made speed limiter for pc version, like in mafia 2 or even in rdr 2 where you have to push shift multiple times to accelerate or cntrl to slow down, because sometimes I like to drive quietly around the map but keyboard doesn't have the features that gamepad has. Also, it would be cool if there was a petrol feature for cars, so that the player had to be more attentive and caring about the vehicle.

i honestly believe the draw distance & amount of objects & peds will be accurate to the trailer. rockstar knows how much pressure is on them & i feel the last thing theyd do is try to fake something, especially knowing how their player base can be. 💀💀

Great analysis! I will say that the level of fog density in that swampy area is most certainly possible on current gen hardware. Rdr 2 has that level of fog effects if not more, even on the original ps4 version.

i’m a massive car guy, and seeing all the new potential car customisation in just this trailer alone got me hyped. i really hope we can actually have things like air suspension on certain cars and be able to have a choice between having lifter trucks or slammed trucks like the slamvan custom in GTA 5. i really look forward to having tasteful window stickers too. i can already imagine myself putting hours into just customising cars. i did it in GTA 5 so i definitely will be able to on GTA 6 i hope. great video as always😁

not every reflection, god ray, highlight is raytracing. These are all effects that can be done without (screenspace reflections, godrays and realistic specular highlights are effects that have been done for years now). There IS raytracing to some degree though, e.g. the orange glow of lucia's suit on her face in the opening shots. Whether or not this is raytraced global illumination or just indirect lighting and shadows, I dont know for sure. They seem to have tastefully avoided showing reflections of anything off screen (which would break any screenspace effects, raytracing or OG screenspace reflections). What gives me hope for more than just screenspace raytracing is that multiple lights cast shadows (e.g. car headlights), which would be impossible to do for every car with regular deferred rendering while getting anywhere near playable fps. If this was screenspace we'd see pop-in of lights and shaddows as light sources enter our view, which i dont think rockstar (or players) would appreciate. EDIT: idk that donut scene on the intersection seems to have a couple people and cars without shadow from headlights. This could just be because of another headlight and lens effects blowing out the shadow though. Limiting the number of light sources that can effect an object is a common technique so whether this is global illumination remains to be seen. At the very least there is indirect lighting which is pretty much always raytraced. Indirect lighting will be visible though in a dense city setting though so thats good.
