What excites me the most is the NPC and vehicle density. It's always been something that bothers me in open-world games, especially ones that take place in a metropolitan setting. I truly hope it isn't downgraded come release.

There has to be some level balance with it all though.... Too realistic of traffic density and you lose the freedom of haulin ass and driving like you would normally in GTA if you will so thereby going for realism over fun. Same with npc/crowd density. However adding more than previously used would be great just not too much imho.

I don’t mind if this game ends up being 30 fps, it’s not the end of the world for me. Red Dead 2 was fine at 30 fps. I still go back to Red Dead 2 and the 30 fps isn’t jarring at all. I’d rather have them go all out with the detail and quality of the world instead of watering the graphics and details down just to get it to run at 60 fps.

GTA V, VI, San Andreas, Vice City, III, II, I, Red Dead Redemption 1, and Red Dead Redemption 2 were ALL at 30fps, and I ENJOYED THEM ALL! I think this idea that Lucia is the "primary" character is an assumption. Much like GTA5, I think it'll be equal part Lucia and Jason with you switching on the fly depending on the mission. I suspect Lucia is a master manipulator and Jason is an undercover cop, just from many views of the trailer, that's what I get from it.

That’s exactly what I think too. Interesting that people are picking up on the undercover cop thing, because there seems to be several things hinting at that in the trailer, but buried just enough below the surface that I don’t think Rockstar expects people to pick up on it so easily. And the viewpoint from the bodycam footage immediately made me think we were seeing that from Jason’s viewpoint - as a cop. I think we’ll end up having another betrayal situation where either Lucia and/or Jason turn on each other, which will put the player in the position of choosing sides, similar to the end of GTA V. I’m totally fine with that as long as it doesn’t just feel like the same situation all over again, but I have faith they’ll be able to pull it off.

I think that clip on the rooftop is Lucia. The resemblance is too close. I think this is her potentially getting lost in the high life of Miami. In all other shots she has no makeup and looks a bit more down to earth and rugged so of course she looks a bit different. But here, she has on makeup, hair extensions, expensive shades and a Louis Vuitton (GTA version) bathing suit while partying on a rooftop. Surely she’s either trying to blend into that life for some reason or she actually did get caught up in it at one point for some mission

My favourite part is the wildlife. When Red Dead 2 released and we saw the extent of the eco system I got very excited for the next GTA. There was some wildlife in V but I thought the system was under developed. It’s seems small but the immersion I feel watching an ecosystem in motion just hits me different I love it. Personally I’m hoping to see R* revisit gang warfare in this game. I really enjoyed gang wars in San Andreas and it was a system that was really abandoned in subsequent releases. Penguinz0 mentioned a desire to see combat improved in some way and whilst I couldn’t tell you what they should change a gang warfare system would really allow us to work the system. Edit: The body types are striking too. I noticed the variety immediately. It’s wonderful.

I want gta 6 to have a fidelity 4k 30 fps RT mode and a performance RT 1440p 60 fps mode and possibly a 4k 60 fps mode without RT, even spiderman 2 had 30 fps trailers but in game you can reach 60 fps so I don’t think 30 fps will be the only option here in gta 6. Also GTA 5 had a multiple graphics option (Fidelity, Performance, Performance RT) on the ps5 version so I don’t see why they won’t use this in GTA 6.

Optimization is key. Also in single player games it’s really not that hard. We have so many bad games due to bad optimization. In single player games, what the player doesn’t see can simply be loaded out and what they see is loaded in, then using multiple cpu cores, different scripts and parts of the game are handled by different cores. All in all, optimization is what makes a game great

Dense crowds and NPC AI is primarily handled by the CPU rather than the GPU. The PS5 has a pretty capable GPU but its Zen 2 cores might struggle.

LOL, I think the same EVERY TIME, just because my main language is Spanish. The name has an accent in the "í" and should be written "Lucía". the accent is in the "í", not in the "u" like most gringos trying to pronounce it LOL LOL LOL. But I think Luke hadn't watch the full trailer yet.

Yeah, as a game physics nerd it was one of the first things I noticed and it blew me away. I have legit never seen hair look that good in a video game let alone an open world game and not only that but there are a lot of other neat little physics implementations too (which are also some of the best I have ever seen in a game), such as jewellery, clothing and body physics. Pretty much everything moves in a way I'd expect it to in real life and it's impressive as hell. The budget is rumoured to be up to 2 billion and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that's true at this point.

@@Reds-Retros Yeah I think it’s 2 billion allocated for its total lifespan. It’s like they’re pulling all the stops. They’re not skimping on anything and they want it… to last loooong time. They’re trying to make the ultimate game. I mean 2 billion?? Good god! Rdr2 was 580 million and that was incredible in detail! Bummed it won’t be out on PC for years🥲

@@Reds-Retros Star Citizen/Squadron 42 has similar if not better quality hair at the moment. Though the former game is quite far from being considered "released". The new hair exists right now.

Very unlikely that consoles have a performance option. Maybe an option for 40 FPS for 120hz displays, but there's way too much going on for the those CPUs to do 60FPS. There's clearly a GI system, most likely an RTGI that's fully integrated into the GPL (Like Metro Exodus Definitive), which means you won't be able to turn it off and that Series S will probably run at ~720 (tops). It'll be interesting to see how far they can push the limits of what PCs can do in four years when it comes to Steam.
