But if they try to do a one sided rhetoric then it’s obviously going to upset some people, especially considering the game isn’t coming out till 2025. The right way to interject politics is making a game that is high quality and with a resounding storyline presenting the message in a unique way. That is what the games you listed did. A wrong way to do it is to make a sect of the audience angry or disappointed by saying one gender has it harder than the other, or by demonizing one side for the sake of politics. It’s like writing strong female characters in a movie. There’s characters such as She Hulk who just acted as a victim the whole series and as a brat. Then there’s characters such as Katniss in the Hunger Games who had character development from a person scavenging for food only caring about her family to trying to help her community and made sacrifices to create a better country away from the old government.

Being someone who was born and raised in South Florida, the protagonist being latino is not woke. If anything it is accurate representation of our people. I’m a white guy but I have Puerto Rican and Jamaican family members. South Florida is probably one of the most diverse places on the planet lol.

I'm not worried about it being woke at all. I am a little more worried about what its going to cost. I have this feeling deep inside that with the introduction of GTA+, they will try to move towards a more subscription based platform for playing GTA online instead of the free to play, but with optional mircotransactions we have had for the past 10 years.

After a higher up said in an official capacity that an older gta game couldn’t release in current day and they won’t “punch down” when the games satirize all of western culture…. When they censor the confederate flag when the npc is a literal trailer trash idiot…. When an executive producer and 2 head writers who have written the story for all gta games, red dead games and bully, left the company a few years back to start their own…..you can speculate wether they got sick of writing those games or maybe the company is moving in a direction they didn’t agree with. Point being if you aren’t even a tiny bit skeptical or cautious then you should be. Hype to this level isn’t healthy for any game
