GTA IV's Platinum is Soul Draining! In this video, I went for GTA IV's platinum trophy on ps3! This platinum is rated a 9/10, GTA games typically are super tedious as well so this one took a very long time. More ps3 platinums are coming!

In GTA V, yes, in GTA IV however it's just that NPCs are badly scripted and they just cannot drive, they're not intended to hit you.

@@LefsDailyAcc iiiiidk if they're intended to hit you, but the scripting has some really interesting decisions that are basically intended to hit you. Like how the AI will choose to swap lanes and turn at a higher likelihood the faster that you move in your car. That reaches a point where the AI are weaving lanes so erratically you either slow down, or wait for the inevitable crash. Is that directly designed to make you crash? ehh, not necessarily.... Does it definitely force you to crash at least once? Yep!

@@eliassossou8918 I kept my "awp" trophy progress sheet in the case for memories. That trophy was what kept me from achieving the platinum for years, until I finally came across the right group of people 2 years ago and we boosted. I attempted it back in 2013 and failed, my boosting partner got the trophy however. (We also did rdr with all dlc together too.) As for the wanted trophy, I got lucky and got into a deathmatch lobby with a hacker. He was the host and set the time for about 10 to 20 minutes, and I dont know why I stayed in the match instead of just leaving. Shortly before the match ended, I just start receiving millions of dollars, and I just hoped nothing went wrong afterwards, such as being kicked, connection issues or game freezes, because I knew itll be my chance to get that tedious trophy out the way. I wasnt even thinking about that trophy at that specific time either. The fly the co op trophy, I came across a Spanish guy who I had a feeling was going for the trophies as well, so I messaged him. He were nice enough to help me out. He were really good and made it easy for me. Him and his friend basically did all the work while I just chilled.

Nostalgia hit me hard there. Remembered doing all that back in '09 on PC (played with the shadows off to have a half decent frame rate), spending ages online, speedrunning coop missions, killing pigeons (missed 2 or 3 of them and was super pissed), all that stuff. Also I never had a PS3/X360 and sometimes have an urge to get one for cheap, to replay GTA 4 among other things, and then there's the guy doing exactly that =)

Ahaha, I was one of those players. I also used to do it on the race “Stars in Your Eyes”. I’d place 2-3 busses across the road in the mode GTA: Race and I’d keep killing the other players over and over. Good times! Brings back a lot of memories.

@@milyennevkellide7448 Yeah same, i finished Mafia DE on classic hoping to 100% the game, then i found a secret item in the prison and realized i had to collect like 50 more of those and then gave up lol, games like Marvels Spider-Man actually make it fun collecting items cause they're shown on the map, you get some lore from them and it's fun to find them. Dark Souls items are also fun to collect but there's no way you're gonna find them all on your first playtrough because 20% of them are hidden behind invisible walls or are very cryptic

I remember my journey to platinum in GTA IV. I have good memories of this one, although there were difficult moments. In the end, it was a lot of fun to play because this is my favorite part of GTA series. I started slowly making DLC trophies after that, but gave them up, but I think to go back and do 100%, after 10 years, kekw. PS I really like the way you edit movies for trophies. It's nice to watch. It's also nice to watch the trophy hunter, which do not go for easy, short platinums, but focus on hard and long ones.

This brings back memories. I got the platinum in May of 2010. Fly the co op was the one trophy I stressed over but after many many hours of getting routes right, got it down. Last one was the one for reaching Rank 10. Just a ton of Hangman's Noose for many nights. GTA IV was so fun.

I’ve got this platinum a few years ago. I did the Multiplayer all on my own by running two different PS3s. It took some time, but it was definitely easier than coordinating it with someone else.

I remember having to marathon the entire online, that's every mode, every race type etc with a partner it was super bugged and the online could crash at any moment, it was a literal miracle that we got it done.

Love how the video or no one in the comments has mentioned the trophy titled ‘Wanted - You achieved the highest personal rank possible in multiplayer’. If I remember correctly, this one was the one that put most people off as it took days to reach level 10. Nice to see another impressive plat under your belt Nick. I really need to come back to this game. I started it and got a couple trophies way back in 2012 like you although I didn’t finish the story. Those co-op speedruns looked clutch as hell. Just out of curiosity did you use the sniper boat bike glitch to get to rank 10? BTW, I’m not sure if I ever mentioned this but I love your story telling style.

I did. I didn’t mention it cause of dudes possibly getting triggered although it’s basically impossible to reach level 10 legit now since the game is dead. But the glitch had some very boring footage as well

This was one of the first trophy lists I ever completed, I remember wondering how the hell you unlock the Platinum not knowing it was for unlocking the rest of the trophies. By the way you left out the actual most tedious trophy, the one for getting to level 10 in the multiplayer, I'm guessing you either played the hell out of the multiplayer when you were a kid or ran into a modder that maxed you out.

No there’s a money glitch to use, that trophy isn’t really possible without it since the game is dead

@@nick_ar Back in the day when I played this to get the platinum, I remember doing the bomb da base glitches to get money. Also, that Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic was so glitchy back in the day. I had to play almost all of the levels 2 times before that popped up for me.
