Man, it really sucks that I don't remember this DLC fondly, not even this banger of a song. In fact, I don't remember even getting further than a few missions into it, so as far as I recall I completely missed out on Mori, Yusuf and Bulgarin until I saw other people play it this past year or so. I don't know if it was the 100% requirements that threw me off, or if tweenaged me simply wasn't fond of the flamboyant aesthetic because of some tactile homophobia I still held onto at the time, but I sold my copy of the DLC disc before I ever gave TBOGT another chance and that's a crying shame. As an adult though, I really love and appreciate the complete tonal shift from Niko's existential story and the (even more) dreary and gnarly downward spiral of the Lost MC to something so unapologetically fun and glamorous. I only wish club music (still?*) sounded like this irl or that Rockstar still wrote characters and dialogue this well. *I'm not old enough to know what clubbing culture was like in the mid-to-late 2000s lmao

@@TimelineBeats I don't disagree, but in fairness, it doesn't exactly have much competition besides Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare lol. GTA Online's DLC is half-baked at best and if anything seems to lean even more towards referencing older GTA games and characters (especially GTA IV) than the main game itself did, which is saying something.

@@Boopy357 Oh yeah, you're absolutely right about that first part. Dear god though, I do NOT want them to remaster this. San Andreas was already one victim too many and even if that one had gone smoothly, I think the business practice of remastering things people are nostalgic for is just generally an absolute plague on the entertainment industry and speaks to a very depressing priority of safe investments over creating something actually fun and creative. Also, the somewhat ramshackle graphics and physics of the original are necessarily part of the nostalgic value. I'm sure I speak for both of us when I say the ragdoll physics provided some of the most amusing times with GTA IV outside of missions and I'm equally sure a remaster would either neuter them to hell and back (the lack of ragdolling with grenades in GTA V was one of the first things I realised that made me enjoy it less) OR amp them up to the point of being indistinguishable from a Saints Row game. So yeah, bottom-line: we should not be encouraging remakes, ESPECIALLY not of good originals. I do find it very funny that you mentioned Chinatown Wars as well though, because that one really seems to be the ugly duckling of the GTA games; the one I assumed nobody remembers anymore except me. And tbh I don't see how they could remaster that one (even if you could convince execs that there was a market for it, and good luck with that) without completely altering the basics of how the game plays, especially since the Nintendo DS has been discontinued and to my awareness there's no current Nintendo hardware that can sufficiently play the same way the DS did. I know it also came out on PSP and I guess that worked fine but... come on, let's not kid ourselves, that game was made with the DS in mind and we should respect that.
