They're definitely holding back all the GTA 6 customisation options, most probably because it's not compatible with this game. But hey that's a good thing since GTA 6 will feel more fresh if we have more new content to play with rather than having already experienced everything in GTA Online. I could easily see that Impala being a Donk style car which isn't really possible in GTA 5. They don't have lift kits and wheel size customisation for example.

This car would've been a total blast if it had a taxi variation... I wonder if it was planned at some point, since its color option is split in half horizontally, and can mimic the Yellow-Blue scheme of the Downtown Cab co. Anyways, it's a total missed opportunity for a cool 90's taxi replica and plus, it could have also served as a nod to the SAs taxi(Premier).

I was hoping they would have had a pushbar bumper option, since this was used by several law enforcement agencies in California during the 1990's and even saw use into the 2000's, as the Impala 9C1. However there were law enforcement agencies who did actually go through with using the 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS.

I don't remember law agencies use the impala SS variant of the Chevy Caprice in California. LAPD had only one impala SS in their fleet but never used it. They used their cousin the Chevy Caprice C91 for most departments instead of the impala SS. Very few departments in the US had the impala in their fleet but very small percentage tho.

@@yusufgta4341 While you're right that LAPD didn't use the SS, this version that Rockstar created is a mish-mash of both vehicles. SS never had chrome trims on the side, and you can swap for the Caprice style grille in LSC. Side note, I think the Marauder (inspired by the SS) had more IRL use with unmarked Law Enforcement than the SS ever did (at least in Florida, apparently).

The “SZ” may be a reference to the German letter “ẞ” which is called “eszett”, literally “SZ” and it’s usually transliterated in foreign languages as “SS” which is also part of this car’s name in real life, the Chevy Impala SS. Also, this letter is in the German word for “shit”, that being “Scheiße”. I know it’s dirty but it’s normal for Rockstar.
