Windows Defender Firewall rule that blocked outbound UDP on local port 6672 no longer allows connection to GTAO. So WHEN (not if) modders get around this, you have one less safe way to login and at least solo play.

Unlike a great many things they won't fix, players getting their accounts and computers destroyed does have an effect on Shark Card sales... ...In that you can't have Shark Card sales if your players aren't able to get them at all. Plus, the possible lawsuits.

Honestly, even if rockstar fixed PC, the damage has already been done. Rockstars failure to act in a timely manner has likely destroyed people’s computers purely because of their greed. The first thing they should’ve done was shut down the servers until the problem was dealt with.

I downloaded today 2/6/23 I made it into a public game and then someone within 10 mins flipped my car and began spamming a transaction failed screen repeatedly, I wasn't even in a fight with whoever the modder was, I was just standing in front of my house. Omg , what that guy done to us , he is just a living legend. He was the one to announce the problem and rockstar was posting about freaking lunar year stuff. Well before I started playing today I basically deleted all my friends exept of one that I actualy play, I leaved one crew that I was part of for few years and just kept my own and I made my profile on socialclub as much private as I could. And after few minutes of playing I recived and invite to some new crew. Last time I've got invitation to a crew was like 3 years ago. So I declined it and turn the game off asap. I'm freacking paranoid about anything now to not loose my account that I've spend 1600 hours playing.. And when I want to play with VPN on I can't acces online, I got information that I can play online after I finish prolog..

Honestly, I'm surprised they fixed this exploit so quickly.. Most fixes they do are a quick patch job.. Rockstar is just to lazy to do any big updates to fix security issues long term. Especially against the cheaters using menu's to grief people. If Rockstar started to HWID & IP ban people, The cheater situation wouldn't be so bad. Half the players cheat on PC & their cash cow would be over if they starting banning using HWID & IP methods. Not everyone knows how to bypass those things, They just buy the cheats. I have ^Friends" That have menu's, Specifically the one used for this exploit. I won't name it but she has told me their discord server made an announcement they're working hard to bypass the rockstar security update so be careful out there.

The only way this update is going to make cheaters stop is if every single report ticket against a player is actually opened and managed by rockstar employees. You need minutes, plural, of video evidence against a cheater in order to assure that a cheat offender is actually banned. Otherwise this update did nothing but help cheaters by giving them more to work with. Rockstar deserves to be sued through the roof for a security breach that is extremely severe.
