Pegasus is an age old feature in GTA Online that nowadays is unfortunately more of a nuisance than anything, and Rockstar are still using it to add new vehicles to the game over having them be personal vehicles which shouldn't be the case in my opinion.

It is not that people are too lazy to drive a kilometre or mile down the road, it is that once you do so, the game "despawns" the vehicle and says "Sorry we could not deliver your vehicle." This is what annoys people like myself.@@AL3X1KUS

The problem is not pegasus itself but the spawning vehicles in that specific areas (limousines at Vinewood Blvd, dozers at the wiwang park, ATVs at the beach and all that useless vehicles that spawns in that areas for no reason at all). LSIA literally has 5 spawn points for the luxor in Devin Weston's hangar. All those random vehicles prevent your pegasus vehicles from spawning because the game register that specific spawn point as "occupied or obstructed". Ps, the reason why those random vehicles wont spawn but the game still register that area as occupied for your pegasus vehicles is because when someone leave the lobby there are few seconds where everything stop working and, in that specific moment you cannot get inside buildings, drinking from vending machines, using telescopes nor spawning personal vehicles or pegasus vehicles. As soon as you see that a specific player has left the lobby then the game comes back to normality and you can spawn vehicles and get inside buildings again. I have no idea why leaving a lobby can cause so many troubles but also the interaction menu gets very glitchy because of it.

This could easily be resolved if they let us have access to the Pegasus hangar at LSIA where we could walk around and it has a workshop to let us customize our special vehicles. Like the Agency

Yeah this, Pegasus in itself is inoffensive and frankly? it can even be helpful if, for example, you and a friend are doing a mission or something where you can use jets, so you can summon a Hydra for your friend while you do it in the Raiju (assuming they don't have a plane of their own). The stupid thing IS the spawn points, even for personal vehicles. Stuff like the Raiju, Hydra or helicopters should spawn *right next to you* given you can take-off from practically anywhere with it, like the Sparrow or the SecuroServ Buzzard... instead of making us go all the way to the storm drain or somewhere else the game shoves these vehicles at, it's frustrating. I understand it for "normal" planes that do need a "runway", but anything that takes-off and lands vertically has no fucking reason to not be spawned next to you.

Yeah I'm in agreement about Pegasus needing to be shipped away. To be honest the idea just needs to be stripped in general. We already have other functions in the game that spawns vehicles in select areas we have to drive to. With some? It makes sense. But not with half of the Pegasus vehicles. I feel like Rockstar just forgot this feature existed and proceeded to implement no improvements to it whatsoever as each update makes the system more and more outdated.

My favorite feature of the hanger is being able to convert Pegasus vehicles into Personal ones. My most hated issue with the hanger is the limited space and inability to expand it. I refuse to sell my red Hydra or Chrome Cargobob so I can't even buy all of the existing planes. It's just so ridiculous, they could just give us like 40 more slots.. or let us buy a second hanger so we can finally spawn planes at Zancudo AND the airport..

Or even have Pegasus branches, one at LSIA, one at Sandy Shores and one in Los Santos itself. You’d do to the LSIA or SS if your want an aircraft and to the LS branch if you want a land vehicle. From there you walk into the blue dot and pick from the menu.

So Rockstar is letting us store, and spawn, certain (special) vehicles like the police cruiser, the Khanjali tank, the jet pack, and aircraft as personal vehicles (some aircraft can be converted into personal vehicles) but not let us spawn in a Riot police van as a personal vehicle but instead as a Pegasus one? That some Rockstar logic there.

1. All aircrafts even the blimp should be primarily personal aircraft and should have at least armor. Engine and handling upgrade 2. Only big sized vehicles that cannot be stored in garage be pegasus vehicles like the dumb. busses. etc.

I unfortunately didn't get in on a glitch before they patched it to modify Pegasus vehicles, because the Armored Boxville with engine upgrades, armor and armored tires is actually a fun little vehicle. Unlike the crapfest we got..

They should update Pegasus spawn points to more locations and remove this stupid rule that "if someone is close to it, it will not spawn". Most land pegasus vehicles can be spawned in the same place as normal cars and there even has aircraft spawn locations since the hangar update. The only thing missing would be spawn locations for boats but even then they have a script for that when you request a Dinghy from your sub or yatch or even Merry_Fucking_weather

I think Pegasus is too unfortunately ingrained into the game to remove it. But I think they could improve it. When you call Pegasus, the vehicle spawns right near you like you were saying. I'd call that a good hotfix.

There is something else I have noticed Ghillie how sometimes it will show your cars logo spawn at a location and when you get near it, the logo stays on the map but never spawns in, and the way to fix it is to die and then you will get the call but yea pegasus is super annoying and just needs to be removed all together or revamped entirely

With certain vehicles of bigger size, such as this Riot Van and the Gruppe Sechs Armored truck, they should utilize the Arena War Workshop for this. It would make sense especially since there isnt a Large Vehicle customization garage like there was in Saints Row 2.

It's probably not the best idea but definitely one that could make things easier: having a dedicated property to call in these vehicles from, similar to the hangar in Story Mode where you can go to an open hangar and select a number of vehicles. Another thing they could do instead is take that feature and apply it to our own properties (a menu with a Pegasus vehicle list). For example, the laptops in the high-end apartment could be used to spawn smaller vehicles like the Taxi and Clown Van and the laptops in bigger properties like the Agency or Arena Workshop can be used to spawn bigger vehicles like the Barracks or the Dump. Maybe someday even adding a DLC relative to the water where we could own a harbor to spawn boats.

Not just a theory its true, if there is a player who isnt in same mc or ceo it wont spawn your vehicle there. I think its to prevent the vehicle getting blown up/stolen b4 you get there by some other player more near to it than you

there is a bug too when you go to the tuner event garage and you test drive a ride there and when you go into the test side and come back your car is gone but says its still there but you just need to return it to garage and request it back again.

I think part of the reason why Pegasus won’t spawn the vehicles is cause random vehicles are already being spawned in when other players enter the area. I’ve had many issues spawning in a Pegasus vehicle when there’s other players around but when nobodies around I don’t have any issues unless I’m too close.

I think Pegasus would be a lot better if the spawns actually worked, and if the more powerful/weaponized vehicles available were locked behind it. Stuff like the toreador, oppressor mk2, khanjali, raiju, chernobog, ruiner 2000, scramjet, deluxo, and others I can't think of. Griefing would be a lot harder if you had to spawn these vehicles in at a certain location, and had a let's say 10 minute cooldown. Obviously still have it for the large vehicles like dumptrucks and monster trucks without the cool down. Maybe I'm wrong but that seems like a much better use than the random selection it has now

Singleplayer has always had a far more reliable system of you arriving to the location, selecting the vehicle and it spawning right there as soon as you looked away.

Pegasus vehicles dont spawn when you have other player/s in or around your vicinity, because 2013 R* didn't want another player taking your vehicle before you even had the chance

I completely stopped using Pegasus for land vehicles entirely and have entirely stopped using it anywhere in the county for any vehicles because it NEVER works. Some explanations from other comments were that random NPC vehicles spawn in those places and fuck up the Pegasus spawns but that is completely incorrect. Especially in the county where most of the Pegasus air vehicles spawn nowhere near where NPC aircraft spawn yet it STILL doesn't work. For example at the Sandy Shores airfield the Pegasus aircraft will be displayed as being spawned on the complete opposite side of the runway from where the hangar and ATC tower is. No NPC aircraft spawn there and never have spawned there. Pegasus remains yet another display of Rockstar Games incompetence and at this rate I am convinced a 4 year old on Windows XP could code a better game than GTAV/Online.

I think Rockstar kinda missed out on the opportunity to have the vinewood 100car garage let us store pegasus cars in there. Pegasus should straight up spawn land vehicles in front of you, and boats at the NEAREST SHORE. Like the dinghy from the kosatka. Any weaponized Pegasus vehicles like the rhino should still spawn where it normally does, or should spawn in front of you but it costs like 10k to call it in.

Pegasus is perfect for aircraft... Everything else? Doesn't make sense. Also, the spawn locations are a lottery. Don't ever ask for a heli or a plane in the Paleto Bay area because they will do exactly like the intro of this video, most of the time. About the riot van being unable to be stored inside a property: What if the cops DLC is coming? It's strange that we finally got the cop cars we have now starting in this DLC, there are dialogs like that one that make you think there's still a possibility... I don't know man, I'm hopeful (even though it's still Rockstar)

Pegasus isn't bad for air vehicle spawns to be fair which is quite useful if you want to spawn a Lazer, hydra, savage or buzzard in for another player whilst you're in a personal vehicle.

I rarely ever call in a Pegasus vehicle. Even though I’m not expecting it to happen, In the next update this summer, Rockstar should implement a feature or build an interior for a property to sell our Pegasus vehicles that we don’t use anymore and Rockstar can balance it by allowing us to sell any number of Pegasus vehicles per week and get some of our money back that we paid for them. Why would Rockstar not implement it especially since we are expected to get a new gta game sometime next year in 2025.

R* really needs to update Pegasus. It’s dumb that I have to drive to one of the spawn points for the Taxi Custom to speed up the pay phone hit instead of driving to the depot across the map. Small, regular vehicles should just spawn nearby like personal vehicles; they should do they same for helicopters since we can spawn a Sparrow, or as a CEO, a Buzzard or Havok. Also the Police Riot should be a personal vehicle since it’s in the description; if it were meant for a property meant in the Cops & Crooks DLC, the Journey II fits in all garages, it’s the same height and longer than the Riot.

Well if you using Pegasus for the planes copters only its more comfortable at least in the city because their spawn points compare at your own vehicle spaw points. And also you don't need too call in insurance after it got destroyed

Yep, allow most Pegasus land vehicles to be storable (& upgradable where applicable). If Pegasus aircrafts could be done over six years ago, then I don't see why R* couldn't just implement a similar system for the rest of the roster. I personally have no issue with Pegasus as a service/feature of _Grand Theft Auto V,_ and I rarely have issues calling out Pegasus vehicles (though admittedly I mostly call out aircraft, and fairly infrequently call out land Pegasus vehicles, which might be why), but my opinion is that, at least for vehicles that can physically fit in regular Garages, there should be an option to store them in said Garages, perhaps for a one-off fee. This can already be done with Pegasus aircraft, and is frankly very useful for me to provide a spare weaponized aircraft to friends who do not own one, as it allows me, for example, to call out two Hydras or Savages. Frankly I wish that newer aircraft like the F-160 Raiju were Pegasus aircraft too, as it would allow me to call out two as well if I store one in the Hangar.

My main issue with Pegasus vehicles is they have zero customization. I hate that, a whole whole lot. Good bringing that up. Nothing sucks worse than vehicles that cost millions and you can't even bulletproof the tires or change the paint.

Yeah Pegasus sucks. Always has. I understand why they have certain spawn points for really large vehicles or aircraft but things like this should be storable and delivered by the mechanic
