In this video we'll find out which vehicle is best for reaching height in GTA V. we've made a special track to carry out this Altitude test. we have 15 contenders for this test covering various planes, jets, helicopters and other aircrafts available in GTA V. Mistake: There's been a mistake in calculation of distance. The distance that I showed as feet is actually meter. Means this track is actually around 2.6 Km+ in Height as (800m=2.6feet). Basically video is still relevent if you just read feet as meter and what I mentioned as meter can be treated as random altitude points.

The planes that didn't make it to the stall limit of about 740m would have been able to go way higher, like the cargo plane or the Duster stalled very early because their engines aren't powerful enough, yet they are able to fly way higher if they go gradually to that height. And about the rockets, you know they leave the ground vertically, but then get to an angle right ? a vertical trajectory isn't efficient at all, they get a parabolic trajectory that ends up going around the earth, rathher than just going straight up, which would be a huge waste of fuel.

Your scale is wrong, you're a lot higher than 750 meters. During the furthest fall before opening chute challenge, I normally fall around 8500 feet or 2590 meters and I'm flying in a Hydra

@@SD1ONE Yeah, they can. You can reach the height limit with all flying vehicles. Unless you try flying a plane straight up like an idiot and stalling that is. The height limit is about 8000 ft. Just keep climbing and check the altimeter in first person view. You'll know when you reach the top because it starts feeling like what's above you is jelly. The quickest way to reach that height is the blimp. Never done the longest freefall stuff lol?

Yeah pretty sure you all run into the same limit at the top of the map, it's just that SD1ONE measured that height as 762 m/2500 feet and what the game shows you for the same height (in the Freefall challenge for example) is 2500 m/8202 feet. The question is which one of that is true. It might either be that the game gives you "shorter" meters/feet (to make you feel the world bigger than it really is?), or the mod tool SD1ONE uses shows incorrect altitude. I think the best way to test it is to take some object which height you know without measuring (maybe even some human male model which would be ~1,8 m) and build a "tower" of it and then measure its height to see how close the number the mod/trainer shows you to its expected height. If it's very different, then the modmenu gives you incorrect altitude, or possibly it shows meters as feet.

SD1ONE I just remembered: Jantsuu also measured the height/altitude the Scramjet managed to reach and it was around 300 m kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4SWhGSjf9Kko80 which is roughly 3 times more, which is very similar to what feet are to meters. Given that the game shows 2500 m for the same altitude that your mods show as 2500 feet it's likely that you actually measured meters as feet?..

Let me list a few things the height limit a vehicle can reach will always be dependant on how much speed it can carry out of the kill engine height gaining height is easier while going sideways All bikes in the game can breach that height limit because of a weird upside down physics bug where at a high enough horizontal speed,gravity doesnt work and the bike is dragged to the side of its wheels Shunt boost capable vehicles can go way higher than anything else,breaching the height limit where your camera works,and locking the camera in place until said vehicle falls down The best way to test maximum reachable height would be to make a runway high in the sky and launch planes upwards from it,any other vehicle type would be pointless at that height The opressor mk2 has weird upside down physics so if you hold handbrake and control it well enough you might be able to reach over that height limit

I love the setup but I think it could have been done better. This was made very apparent with the CargoPlane... it only got to ~80 meters, it could do much better but it ran into the track. I feel that the test was run off of momentum alone, not the actual power the engines had, some, like the VTOL/Helicopter tests, were accurate, as they didn’t need space, others, like the Hydra in flight mode, needed a less steep angle to actually gain height.

The Hydra from San Andreas was so much cooler, you could angle the VTOL engines at any angle you wanted, and it was so much more nimble than the cumbersome Hydra we have in GTA V. The MK2 has a glitch that lets you fly up REALLY fast, but you have to start it off the top of an edge somewhere. Free climbing in open air, its ass.
