It's impressive how well you manage to use this technology in a way that makes the image cleaner and reduces distortions. The other videos we see out there are always with exaggerated distortions because they give the AI a lot of freedom to interpret it the way it wants.

Inference is cheap computing, so you can expect the next graphics cards and consoles to be super capable at it

I've tried it, the result is not very good, the character usually looks very small and the smaller the more aberrations occur, the giants look good, the protagonist many times transforms into a girl by having long hair, I don't have video capture for a PS4, the game is console exclusive.

yes consistency is the main problem at the moment with generative AI, but it is also a problem in the game for the AI to be able to allocate the right "assets"

It's certainly an interesting piece of technology, but the result lacks the original careful stylization and artistic detail. Also due to those various artifacts, it leans more towards an uncanny valley pseudo-realism, which feels unsettling rather than an improvement on the original graphics.
