GTA Vice City for PC (presentation)

Is somebody feeling the same? I am just 19 years old, but always I played that game I thought I was living in the 80s time. When listening to vice city's music or watching such videos like this I begin to miss that city as if I had ever been there for years. Funny feeling

Yeah, the audio is from an early mission. The video is from the cutscene right before the boat race mission at Diaz's mansion. Some of the other clips have misplaced audio and video as well, obviously for dramatic effect.

GTA Vice City is the best GTA ever. As BlackSkorpion1991 said, when you play it, you are totally inside the game. In that world with that 80s athmosphere. And you never want to leave this beautiful city with nice cars, long beaches with sand and palms . . . Rockstar, we would like to return to Vice City!

@gabrocki I think San Andreas has lots of improvements, especially when it comes to graphics. It just so happened that San Andreas came out later and it benefited from the improvements based on VC. The storyline, the 80s ambiance are what I like in VC.

Best GTA in order (this is of course, only my opinion): 1.) San Andreas - best gameplay by far, best missions and most things to do, enormous varied map, brilliant 90's soundtrack. 2.) Vice City - most immersive atmosphere, most stylish GTA, brilliant 80's soundtrack, best characters & story. 3.) GTA 4 - best engine, best combat. 4.) GTA 3 - the first 3D GTA, probably greatest gaming revolution in its time. I must say that all GTAs are awesome and that's why this is my favorite game franchise.

@megatroll I am also hooked on the 80s. I was born on 77 and was a kid at that time but the 80s was so memorable to me. That's one reason that I loved the game. Rumor has it that GTA IV will be in Vice City. I hope Rockstar should also bring back the element of "FUN" in Vice City that is lost at GTA IV. GTA does not need to be too realistic, it needs to be fun, at least that's what I believe.

@gille255 It is because of his incredibly magical atmosphere. Vice City incorporates so many pop culture phenomenons of the 80's and blends them perfectly. For example, San Andreas, which I have played a hundreds of hours, with all improvements is not even close to VC (for me most disappointing GTA). Also, GTA IV is stunning game by all criteria with also fantastic atmosphere, but still missing "that special something " that makes Vice City so memorable.

Well you know, GTA IV was a remake of GTA III. It generally makes sense if GTA V was a remake of GTA III 2 (Vice City). I liked the characters in Vice City, but I liked GTA III's characters more and the whole style it was rolling out. They used the Leone family a lot in the series. They sticked with the mafia and the triads a lot too.

Damn, remember playing this, aged 10. I never did any mission. All i ever did was shooting up cops and summoning tanks using cheats. Nontheless, this is the best GTA there is and one of the most fun games i've ever played

Man GTA was the shit when they weren't so serious and they had celebrity cameos and there was continuity across the games like AmmuNation. I mean, I like GTA4 and the Episodes from LC but it didn't have that GTA feel like 3, VC and SA had. I'm glad I was playing GTA since the beginning though because you probably can't go back and play these games in 2011 without thinking "the fuck is this shit"

In my opinion, GTA Vice City is the best of all. GTA IV, only has improved graphics, aside from that, it's not as goooood as the 80's-themed Vice City. Imagine Vice City with the graphics of GTA IV! I'll never get to sleep... :lol:
