Vice city is the best GTA of all time. The music, the setting, the story, took you back to the 80s. Refined and clean graphics as well. San Andreas's freedom is unbeatable, but CJ isn't believable as a Hero. And the graphics could have been better as well.

I'm sorry but I totally disagree. Having to buy businesses and complete missions for you without the game telling you that that's what you're supposed to do is bullshit. That shit was inexcusable back on the NES, and it's a goddamn sin on the PS2. If the game can give you instructions on how to walk, they can tell you how to progress through the game after the Vercetti Estate missions. Every car is also better at vehicle combat than you too. The way they annoyingly bump you when chasing you is fucking crazy, and the auto aim is whack. GTA V is the best, but that's because it improved everything in the series and was more ambitious because of the success of the previous games. San Andreas learned how to aim better because of Vice City, IV learned to improve on San Andreas, and V improved on IV. But V also never felt like it needed cheats to be played on its first playthrough. III and Vice City certainly did, although San Andreas didn't. And this is just personal preference, but I like t

I shouldn't even have to spell it out for you, it should be as clear as night and day. Do developers strive to upgrade their games just so newer titles can improve on previous entities? Of course they do. GTA V is the definite game from a _technical_ standpoint, and no one is willing to deny that. However, that is not the point I am making. So Rockstar introduced a new engine to the franchise, big deal. What really matters is how true the engine stays true to the core gameplay and formula. Whether GTA IV and V succeed in those areas is a different discussion. Do you even know a glitch is? Are you seriously trying to argue the engine used for all games in the 3D Universe are filled with glitches when GTA IV was just as, if not, more guilty of this? If the engine was glitchy, Rockstar would have already stopped working on it after GTA III. Maybe the reason why people still "drool" over that "outdated" game because it's still as good as it was back then. Maybe this isn't sheep mentality, and is actually just a popular opinion, with you know, *reasoning to back it up*. Maybe these people have the brain capacity to realize that the world doesn't cater to their taste and are mature enough to accept opposing opinions from other people without inserting sarcasm and making ridiculous statements that hold no weight to them. Or maybe I am just insane for thinking this group of people exist.

In all GTA Games the first guy you do missions for always ends up being your best friend or alive with the exception of GTA San Andreas. Also I love how all the GTA games have cameos for instance in Grand theft auto san andreas they mention Tommy and also the part where Claude takes Catalina away from you.

At first I was sad GTA V was set in San Andreas instead of Vice City, but then I was kind of happy after I looked at it this way. Rockstar knows how much people love Vice City, a game based there is inevitable. Rockstar is already very experienced at making worlds, just look at GTA IV, RDR, LA Noire, and GTA V. They probably wanted to do the next Vice City game true justice with the most experience possible. Maybe the next game will be on the next consoles. Vice City will come eventually.

Vice City was the best in the series hands down. Best story line and soundtrack as others have said. Most of us are children of the eighties. This games music is so nostalgic and the story is of the times. Miami was built on cocaine money, corruption, and...yeah that's it really. Whoever hasn't seen the documentary Cocaine Cowboys must see it; it's great, the real life Vice City.
