They tried literally everything their underdeveloped brains could think of including telling us they were from another state and traveled all the way across the country to get one, they were employees from another location and were told our store was the only one with extra systems, tried to bribe us, asked if there was a secret phrase, everything. After letting my employee handle it for a while I finally stepped in to tell them once that we don't have the system and can't sell any until the release date, then informed them that I was the manager and if they asked again I would make them leave. As a fuck you they took all the candy I had left out on the counter for Halloween, not realizing I was desperately trying to get rid of the stuff anyway, and left. Some people seem to think Gamestop just has unreleased items out back and the employees are willing to get fired so they can get it early.

The fake unboxing triggered a flashback for me. When I was a kid, I saw a picture online that a ratchet and clank and Jak and daxter mash up game was made. I convinced my mom to take me to the gamestop, 30 min drive from home into town where I asked them for it. Unfortunately many KZbinrs get away with it as it is rarely disputed (since in most cases there is no monitary exchages), but it has happened before and can get you in some hot water. Especially if the product you are giving away is nonexistant.
