This Gtech is impressive, and cordless too - no trip hazard! Wow, the power to pick up looks tremendous, it certainly puts our vacuum cleaner to shame. We have a dog who sheds hair & a messy parrot - so feathers too!

12 months on.... does the collection cylinder fill up very quickly as its small? would you recommend it?

Hello! I'm still using it every day 12 months on - I find the cylinder is fine to hoover the entire house (and a bit more) but I empty it every day it's used as it so simple to empty - just click open and into the bin, so it's not an issue doing it so often.

@@Lyndsay-and-the-girls after looking at loads of other vacuum reviews on YT, I've come back to the Gtech due to the fact it stands on its own. I ordered it on Saturday at 3:30pm on the offer for the K9 and the hand held plus car accessories kit for £249. It was it with on Sunday by 2pm. Less than 24hrs! Thanks for your review. It helped. We don't vac up everyday though lol

That is a fab machine I would love one ! it's lightweight which is ideal for me as I'm getting older and I have one messy little grandson . I love how it picked the glitter up usually my vacuum leaves some behind. Great review love it

Haha "lil bit addicted to hoovering!" - me too! I've got two long-haired Border Collies and a black cat that loves to shed, so a good hoover is a MUST in my household. Seeing you lift it, looks incredibly lightweight, which is good for me with a chronic illness!

I know how you feel Meagan, I'm having to see a psychiatrist for my addiction to hoovering. if I wake up in the middle of the night and pass my tech air ram, I have to have a go even if its 2 or 3am. My husband is going to divorce me if I don't stop. I can't help myself. I live in a semi- detached house and have been through 2 sets of neighbours in the last 2 years due to my hoovering habits. I just really can't help myself. I am addicted to the smell of the filter and I love the sound of the vacuum. I make my dogs roll over the carpet as much as possible throughout the day so I can keep vacuuming my floors and I'm seriously thinking of inviting the builders in from across the road to walk on my carpets so I have to clean up after them. I think my addiction is only curable through medication.

Hi Lindsay I had a Gtech when they first came out. One issue I had was that it didnt convert into a handheld to do the stairs etc. Does this model? 🤔😀

Sadly this model doesn't either, but there is a separate handheld one you can buy, or get them both together which I think works out cheaper, but it is something I wish mine did.

A new Gtech K9 MK2 as just been delivered. Ordered specifically for the scented tabs; because we also have a black labrador. The carpets are smelling very doggy in the heat wave conditions, we are presently undergoing. The Gtech AirRam MK1 cordless vacuum cleaner, is now demoted to upstairs use only, replacing one of the original GTech carpet sweepers. It is interesting to note we have a Dyson V8 absolute which performs superbly, but my wife finds the trigger on/off switch very difficult to hold in ( it stops if you release the trigger) because of problems with her hands. She therefore loves the GTech AirRam because you push to start and push to stop.

Bet the main connecting join becomes wobbly after a awhile.Mine has trouble staying upright lol! Granted it is previous gen version but still, lets hope they've fixed that.Not sure about the scented inside part because it will fade quick I'd imagine, bet they got expensive refills to solve the issue lol.
