European brands? Hi! Greetings from Norway 👋 As you are (in my opinion) the world's no.1 place to get good, extensive, and definitive testing on vacumes, I would really love to see more European brands and models tested next year! I know that some of them aren't as easy for you to get a hold of, as many of them probably aren't sold in the US, it would still be a big service to the world to see more European models included. If some of them do really well, this could pressure these manufacturers to start selling to the US. Seeing them compared to the best models in the US, could put pressure on them to improve their products. Or vice versa :). When I load up one of Norway's biggest electronics retailer, this is the brands I see the most: Philips, Wilfa, Bosh, Miele, Samsung, Dyson, Electrolux Keep doing the amazing work you are doing and I'm looking forward to your future reviews.

I don’t know how much that type of test would matter. Noise in vacuums is almost directly related to cleaning power. So a vacuum that would not disturb other people in the household would be almost useless.

I currently own two of your mid-level picks, the shark stratos and the older dyson v8. Even though the stratos gives the light and the feature to go under beds, I prefer the dyson. It's lighter weight and doesn't clog as much, a huge annoyance I have with the stratos

I was going to get the Shark Stratos, but then I read the recent reviews on Amazon and everyone said the same bad things about it... Longevity (seems to break down after a few months), battery life, and durability. Decided to buy another Dyson v11($284.97 Black Friday price).

Great review. Is that detailed chart that you show briefly, available to look at anywhere? I didn't see any obvious links to it either here or on your website. Also, do you evaluate a vacuum cleaner's edge cleaning capabilities? I've found that Shark vacuums, both cordless and corded, have a narrowed cleaning path, with a wide band of extra plastic in the way on the underside of both ends of the head, though I'm guessing this is true of a lot of other manufacturers' vacuums too. But Dysons (at least some models?) have a wider cleaning path with only the bare minimum amount of plastic on the two ends of the head.

I like how no scores were shown for _mid level_ category, probably because they were higher than Dyson or just as high which would make the list look ridiculous. Budget Laresar already had 147 points with best Dyson at 180. It really looks like tests changed from independent to basically Dyson commercial lol. Dyson being added to mid, where it has no redeeming qualities above the competition? _Cheapest Dyson_ Even the budget list looks suspicious - I know Laresar, I basically had almost identical vacuum for a while, and it's good, but it's not best budget device for sure. The submarine is good even though it doesn't rinse the brush and put the dirty water in a tank? I love my Dysons, but they can clog due to some narrow passages. The last one I bought was the V12 because of the light weight and it is a bit weak in the suction department, so something to think about for those considering this model. You can just get a replacement battery, at least for Dyson. It's 100$ but the batteries usually last 3-4 years so 100$ for 3-4 years isn't very expensive. If you feel that Dyson won't have spare parts for your vacuum at that time, just buy an extra battery right now and only use it when the old one dies.

Although I understand why you excluded the DeWalt, it would be nice to see some vacuums from power tool manufacturers tested again, as lots of us have the batteries. I'm guessing that DeWalt is going to appear in a future video.

I’m looking for a recommendation on a cordless vacuum for someone in a wheelchair with limited hand function. I need a vacuum that turns on and stays on, because I can’t keep constant pressure on buttons. I’m looking to vacuum thing like crumbs from my bed and the floor.

This cordless Bissell that we recently reviewed has an on/off button and it did pretty well too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5yVdnRjoNOhd68

*Very hard to trust these videos when the spreadsheet/data is not provided... at all*

Bro, he's not a shill for Big Vacuum. Just some useful information. Either take it or don't. Do your own research

Right on Slim. If you watch 10 best of videos of any kind you’ll find just about zero consensus of what’s the best. Half of those video producers review dozens of differing products and the winners always differ. In top of that is the robo narration. I think the trick is to ignore sponsored reviews and it’s really tough to beat consumer reports. All in all it’s just a crapshoot and if you’re spending $500 on a vacuum it’s a gamble. Lots of crap everywhere so what piece of crap do you go with.

I feel like their spreadsheet data is their intellectual property and they put a lot of work into it. Like if someone wanted to see that data they should pay more. Personally, I would sell it as some sort of almanac of vacuum cleaners. And you could pay $12 if you wanted to see it.

Without the data the reviews have limited value because what's important to one person may not matter to another so even a data-backed overall score is subjective (if what I really care about is dust cup size, e.g.). But they definitely help me with what I DON'T want, and it's helpful to see the machines in action. As for intellectual property, if they are getting compensated at all for their reviews (free products, e.g.) then they'd be "double dipping" by selling the data. But I'm a journalist so totally biased towards infosharing.

Hey do you have a video about robotic vs cordless vacuums? A general comparison

Is there anyway to clean under the rubber roller on the shark stratos? I know the soft roller comes off but I can’t figure out how to clean the other and it’s driving me crazy
