GTI Swapped Vanagon Restoration Pt.2 Custom Door Panels

i have a golf engine for my vanagon... nice easy swap.. but got the engine from a golf mk2 doner vehicle. I was looking for a missing distributor on ebay and then i saw an associated spark module control unit that should be in the wiring ? hmmmm I thought coil and dizzy is all i need,,, but obviously not! i think i need a wiring diagram, per chance could you help? that engine looks and sounds terribly nice! kind regards

Yeah some do have an ignition control module. Unfortunately I don’t have a manual either, may be best to look online or join a Facebook forum for mk2s and ask! Good luck

That’s pretty awesome, what kind of wood did you use for the door panel? Also can you give me the exact stain?

LeMe Fish Thanks! It’s a 5mm thick under laminate I got at Home Depot. The stain I said somewhere in the video but I still didn’t say what it was exactly since I forgot. I believe it’s red walnut or something similar from Home Depot. Pretty sure the only one with red in the name. Good luck!
