I have been running for decades. But when I am running outside I always carry a 33 ounce bottle of water with me. If I don’t have that water with me then I have to have 220 ounce bottles of water hidden under the trees at neighbors houses when I go for my 6 mile run. I live in Florida it’s hot and humid I don’t know why I’m like this I’m the only runner I ever see carrying water but I’ve done it my whole life.

I am new to running/ jogging. I've been running around the 5 tennis courts across from me as I'm in the city and a little safer. These videos have been helpful. I actual run wearing Clouds as well.. I'm on my 3rd pair love them. I did a virtual 5k around the tennis courts in 43 min. I'm trying to get better with my time. I did my 5k this Thursday (Thanksgiving) came in the house and my nose started running and then i started sneezing. My nose ran for 12 hours. Mind you when i came in the house which was warm i only took off my jacket but still had on my clothes. That evening i took some cold meds and been in the bed resting for 2 days. Thanks again for the teaching as i really want to have proper form which i believe in good with. I just need to practice with my running and walking and get my pace together.

Hey there, always looking forward to GTN content 🙏🏽 gratitude for the GTN team 🧡 regarding 'picking feet up,' what if you're a new runner without an aerobic base established? And staying in zone 2 is particularly challenging? For instance, I find that when I pick up my feet, my heart rate spikes well above the aerobic max. cant walk and cant run: it's been tricky finding a technique that feels safe and sustainable. For those wanting to run at least 80% of their miles in zone 2, would you be willing to talk about the different running gaits forms and techniques for each zone - especially for those still @ a very slow pace to maintain low bpm? 🙏🏽 thank you & namaste
@viewsbyusher
@viewsbyusher 4 жыл бұрын
I would say start with walking till you can run in zone two. If your wanting to do the 80/20. Set up your heartrate as best as possible and stick to it. I'm currently trying to do lots of km right now with staying in zone two.
@geauxgaia

@@viewsbyusher hi, thanks so much for your feedback. How many km are logging a week, out of curiosity? My HR easily drops to zone 1 when walking. In vibram five fingers, intense power walking is problematic.

Thanks :) I'm not new to running but I still don't have it all figured out. I often find myself with weird pains in my body haha And when I go for a run less than about 8 days before my period or during my period the pain can be absolutely awful :b that sucks when you want to participate in running races 'cause you don't choose the dates of the events ... do some of you also deal with that issue ?

Hi Clara, Running certainly takes some time to get used to and your body will start to adapt. Periods effect women differently as I'm sure you know, have a look at the FITR women app, I use it and it really helps explain what training is best suited to different times of the cycle.

I started running a few months ago and there was one thing that had huge effect on my running form and this is a thing i think every new runner should be aware of. As we use the computer more and more the strenghtening and checking of our normal form is very important when it comes to running. My shoulders are at different height because of extensive mouse use as i work at the computer and i think this difference elevates my hip on one side and it makes me "correct" my balance by swingin my arms at different height and not stepping straight with my other foot. And this affects my knees that have some soreness. I have started this big strenghtening and stretching routine to make it better and it has done wonders. So the normal form and the starting point i think is very important. I noticed this thing after i took a video of myself and saw myself hugely one sided even though i felt i was straight as an arrow.
