Ive watched so much battle rap over the last ~15 years that i forgot this battle happened. I came back to listen to it all and it's crazy how much changed. I had thesaurus winning the main battle... And Diz spazzed in that OT round. It's hard to remember how different the br scene was back then. Way different content and ... Just different everything

Dizaster deff won this battle...but still all his jokes consisted of greek metaphors and face jokes...not that Thesarus was much more broad with his angles...but this just wasn't one of Thesaurus best performances...I've seen him freestyle better then this battle...Seems like people on here are basing how bad Thesaurus is, simply on this one performance...which is ridiculous...even against Iron Solomon, Thesaurus took that battle on a whim and freestyled the whole battle while Iron Solomon had planned punches....it was a joke

The Saurus is a legend in many ways. Mostly because of his freestyle ability but also because he stayed undefeated for such a long time. But Grindtime is all writtens, you can prepare your writtens for months and therefore come with the dopest pre-rehearsed lines ever. That's pretty much the reason BOTH illmac and the saurus has been losing a lot lately. Watch the battle with locksmith vs dizaster if you wanna see what it looks like when he forgets his writtens.

This was no robbery, you are crazy if you don't think Dizaster had the most intricate rhyme scheme/material of the two. People are going based off of his mistakes in the first round which seems like weak sauce to me. Dizaster degraded his career, his ancestry, and his style. This was complete and utter meticulous dissection. The reason people are hating on Dizaster is because they'd LOVE to see him lose. He's a bully, it's rational, but fact of the matter is. He certainly didn't lose there.

Totally agree with that. What made me laugh is Dizaster's first two bars in the OT were about Thesaurus choking...funny how he was the one that choked in the battle! Also choked against Locksmith too. I think the OT was debatable, Diz maybe edged it but it's a tough call. Glad Illmac destroyed Diz though, not a fan of his style at all. SCORECARD: Round 1:(11-10,Saurus). Round 2:(12-9,Diz). Round 3:(11-8,Diz). Round 4/Overtime:(12-12,Tie). To be honest, I say Dizaster won this battle in three. Overtime wasn't needed in my opinion, but I'm kinda glad they had an extra round. First round, The Saurus edged that one. Second and third round, Dizaster took those two clearly!! So I would've given it 2-1 to Diz. But in that fourth and overtime round, I felt that one was actually a tie. Both were equally dope in overtime. This was a great battle! A GrindTime CLASSIC! DIZASTER 2-1-1....

Theres something to be said for coherency but theres also something to be said for complexity and innovation.What dizaster brought in this battle i dont think weve seen before.Just on word count for instance. He's packing maybe more than double the amount of lanuage into 60 sec than the saurus is. thesaurus did not take this "hands down"...he lost fair and square..the problem with thesaurus is that he is best when he doesn't pause/laugh..when he comes with straight heat, he's almost unbeatable like against his recent battle vs madness..don't think he came at his best this time -dizaster came very clever..very unique..a lot of swagger, creativity..impersonating eminem, going super super fast, then slowing down sometimes..it really threw thesaurus game off..hats off to him

Dizaster won. His multi's hit Thesaurus hard. I think the judges made the right call. Thesaurus did not dominate like previous battles, and I was a little disappointed.
