THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING THIS i have been looking for hours to find out whether pure strategy amounts are affected by imperfect information!

6:12 I don't really understand how to count strategies.Wouldn't that make 3 pure strategies? R, Ll and Lr? Since the decision tree ends when player 1 chooses R, I don't see how Rl or Rr could exist as strategies....I appreciate any help :)

For the sake of strategy, it ignores whether a second tier would happen or not. You can always play Rr or Rl but second choice doesn’t matter because it won’t happen. In normal form they share same utility.

6:28 What would be the 8 strategies if the equivalence class did not exist?
@legendariersgaming7 жыл бұрын
If the equivalent class didn't exist then the nodes would have different action sets, like the node ending after player 2 took A might have (l1, r1) but the node ending after player 2 took B might have (l2, r2). So the strategies would be something like Ll1l2, Ll1r2, Lr1l2, Lr1r2, Rl1l2, Rl1r2, Rr1l2, Rr1r2

How would you get a SPNE if your imperfect information subgame has two nash equilibria?
@debojitroy65993 жыл бұрын
I guess in this case u simply have to check which NE is making credible commitment and which one is incredible..As SPNE always provides a credible commitment along on and off the equilibrium path.... the credible one between the two NE will give SPNE.
