What do you think-was this a master exploit or massive punt? 🤔
@JayJo16322 ай бұрын
Because QQ bet size was small, it disguised the strength of his hand and AQ raised to get value and deny equity from what look like an QK/A10 type hand given the bet size

Does unblocking Ah factor into this as well? Lots of AXh bluff hands want this size or do they want to jam?

I don't mind the T raise but I absolutely hate the call vs the jam imo

It seems like you wanted to reach the conclusion of "this play was right" and then you played with nodes until you reached the predetermined conclusion.

A very controversial video. I think the probability that this was really a planned exploit is rather low. I would be really impressed if all the assumptions made were correct. Unfortunately, we'll never know unless we ask the player himself.

The fact he s a decent player and did actually make the play says the chance is high I reckon. It's not like he had this exact though process and analysis in game, but top players are obv experimenting and looking for exploits whilst having an understanding of where to implement them. I'd say this hand with the unique factors of 4 bet. akq flop and the chosen sizings, would make it a good candidate for a top player to get creative.

It is not that hard to find out, the other option is that a 10k nl reg that is solid and in the game hight stakes for years bluntered and missplayed a hand that an average 10nl reg can avoid. So its either that or he did something extreme on purpose. i take the 2nd every day.

I disagree. Even low stakes players if you show them this hand they would immediately know AQ is not strong enough in theory to get it in. Seems a real stretch to imagine a high stakes player wouldn't know that. Much more likely that he saw the small bet size that would leave an awkward SPR on the river and decided that he was facing an unbalanced range. I think the key in this hand is that even on the turn the board is INSANELY good for the preflop aggressor and we are playing 150bb deep. So then you really have to start questioning when you see your opponent slow down like that on a very favorable runout with a lot of money left behind. Why would he do that? The fact that villain showed up with QQ may indicate it's a balanced bet size, but it would be easy to assume the opposite.

okey he did exectly what the solver would do with adjusted ranges but i think is still over played and therefore bad.

@@gorydays28 maybe in bigger Tourneys it makes Sense i dont know that but 4 small stacks IT makes no sense cause nearly no 1 cares about it yesterday get a gambling 1/4 Stack risk Move call with 46s vs my QQ and he gets 3x 4 off course 😉

It was a mistake. To make it a "correct exploit" his opponent needs to be making a mistake. So are they both making mistakes? You see how gto allows anyone to make a mistake...but is it really? 😂

yea you can nodelock this spot all you want but still a huge punt to me ...

the punt is also to let your opponent over-realize his equity with small size OOP
