The reason 22/33/44 always call a 3bet is not because they don't always raise it's because we unblock weak hands and 55-99 block weak hands. It has to do with blockers not frequency.

We can transfer this knowledge to playing agaist loose players like recreationals. But even better that they under raise pós flop, so we can actually 3bet super wider for thin value and cbet range almost always. And of course play the hand strengths.

How about i just do playing not having a bankroll but i just do play once twice in a week that depends on my salary. i just limit it to 1/10 of my salary. if i run good i target it to make it x5 of it then i stop this is in CG. if run bad then its over for the month. in MTT i just make an allotment to two table buy in once in a week.

hey Uri, you are estimating that UTG is open-raising pure freq the low suited connectors. Why do you think they play like that and for what stakes is that true? I agree that they overdedend against 3-bet, but not very sure about them open-raising 100% of that hands in UTG.

Uri Peleg - Great video. Love your content. Hoping you would go over spots where the solver overbets 250% pot on some low boards with things like a small overpair and bluffs like K8s. Also, overbetting bottom pair. I briefly remember you going over it and it was like poetry to understand the reasoning. Would be great to learn unique spots like this on this channel. If not, that's fine too. Just make more videos. Cheers.

I grind the low-limits for a living. I have a GTO opening range, but I throw it away against maniacs. I just limp with the top of my range, and jam them preflop with hands that i know they will call, or shove it in, because they don't like being treated this way. It's boring. But very profitable. I played a $1,000 pot at 1-3 NL recently where all the money wasin pre-flop, i had AK, he had Td5d. I'm printing money here by getting it in, the outcome is irrelevant. I put in $500, but am a 60-40 favorite, meaning that I win $100 on average over time because he plays so bad. In the hand in question, he made 2-pair and I lost, but that is irrelevant. He was dominating the table, but the nits took all of his money, he lost a large amount of it, and left with his tail between his legs. I love maniacs. Will sit with them any time.

If they call more then how can you be good by bluffing more? I think the answer is to sit back more often. You gain EV by staying away from action and letting others duke it out. Value bet thinner than ICM Yea, calling less also makes sense but that’s cause people bluff even less than chip EV.

I just realized something If you are supposed to call 16,67% in this case in chip ev. but 10% in icm, that is if our opponents has adjusted to bluffing 64%. So if our opponent does not adjust, and bluffs chip ev frequency, do we just call 0% of the Time because he is inbalanced?

@@karlmason7985 That is so interesting, we don't need to think that much about our own range, cause in spots like pure bluff catchers, people is so often going to bluff at too low frequency, making it not worth it to bluff catch. this 500% shove is not really that common, It's more often I meet 33-80% pot bets, with some stack remaining behind, I'm not bust, but it will put me in danger zone for the future.

I'm confused about the half-stack and full stack experiment. 2 questions: a) What does half-stack exactly mean here? Every player left in the field has 1/2 starting stack? Whats the purpose of using a half stack? b) ICM predicting placement accurately, What does this exactly mean? Shouldn't we be losing money when we are playing chip ev? Im just not understanding what are we trying to do here. Can someone explain this experiment?
@GTOWizard
@GTOWizard 12 күн бұрын
The purpose of this experiment is to see how well ICM predicts placement probabilities when players are playing chip EV (unaware of ICM). Details of the experiment are outlined in the article, under experiment #5 blog.gtowizard.com/when-does-icm-become-significant-in-mtts/#example5 a) The reason we use two player groups, with half and full stacks, is because if everyone had the same starting stack then everyone would have equal tournament equity and be equally likely to place in each position. So we split it into two player groups, one with half-stack and one with full-stacks, with the big blind set dynamically to 1/7 of the average stack. b) ICM is a formula that predicts how often each stack will place 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on. We wanted to see if it accurately predicted placements for each player group, despite the fact that no player in the tournament was aware of ICM. To answer you question about losing money - cEV loses money when other players are playing a better (ICM) strategy. In this case, EVERYONE is playing cEV, so no one has the edge.

Yeah yeah sometimes right especially maybe by High Stacks but yesterday i was in Blind Position with KJ Top 50 ITM since 230 2 4 me gos AI i have 15-20 BB a shorter Stack i fold what they Have 37 bs and K9 and i play Position and had win this Hand also KJs where i can lost 1/2 of my Stack i also fold on S or BB and they have A5 and 33 or so also i have win this Hand if i play it 🤨😉yeah some other Time when i fold they have better Hands but you can say what you want about Position Ranges etc. in Lowstack it depends only on your Opponent, i have call nearly all yesterday only 2 good Foods pre Flop i make the 2 i write about get me to FT 4 Sure sibi get 22 whats also o.k is with Bounty 6x Buy In Price but so close to FT and it depends also very often on 1 max 2 Hands if you get to FT or get 20,30,40 Place that i see iften by my Tourneys in Microstake from 1 to 50 $ we talk about nearly every time the same Thing. On 50 they raise many but on 5 much more 4 example but similar playstyle from Opponents.

The other day I got involved in a 4bet pot with a LAG where I 4bet him with AQo (never do this against most live opponents because their 3b range is usually too nutty). Flop was paired + a brick and checked through, turn was another brick, he checked to me again, I stabbed small and he ripped. I thought for a while about his image and his past showdowns. I flicked in the calling chip and he said I was good. I told him to table his hand and he revealed 64s for 6 high against my A high. River came a 4 but at least it was a good fight back attempt 🥲

I do think on micro/low stakes it's higher EV to play your hand vs their range. You still need to know what your range looks like but balance is unnecessary against people who aren't great at the game.

Im more Praxis Guy and sometimes Gto is good, 4 me the whole Thing is too expensive off course by my Limits and too complicated but some Things are good but only 4 Pros Highstack Area !!

Your EV(shove) formula at 6:50 has a typo, the (200*.2) supposed to be (101.5*.2). At 7:30 Your EV(shove) formula said to multiple everything out, I think you meant to put the add symbol not the times symbol. The formula to figure out M when set EV(call) to zero, I got -26bb not 24bb. Even taken in absolute value, it's different answers. Can you explain this part? Using the implied odds formula to find M, which M=((Lose%*Lose$)/win%)-win$ gives the wrong answer unless you plus Win$ at the end. So if I change the formula to M=((Lose% * Lose$)/win%)+ win$, then I get the same answer as EV(call) = 0 and solved for M, which in this case still result in a -26bb. I didn't check the math on the rest of the video, but the concepts and contents are Superb. Thank you.
