Such an important video. Villain overfolds by 6%, and 85s goes from 0.02 EV to 1.35. Huge difference. Why focus on balance when low limits players are completely imbalanced!
@wuwenhao16624 ай бұрын
Because being perfectly balance is the ultimate lazy solutions, a dream never come ture. Imagine you can play perfect gto, there's no need for table selection, note taking, data mining or any effort to know your opponents' leaks. Simply you saw, you come, And you won. How amazing it sounds.

I’m just amazed at how every poker says “ population is imbalanced “ and I’m going to exploit. But if every poker player believes that then no is imbalanced or every is imbalanced!
@donkpoker27094 ай бұрын
@@samuraijack1371 There will always be enough players that play for fun or regulars that aren't willing to improve their strategy to overcome natural tendencies. But yes, the meta can change over time so don't take any specific exploit i talk about as gospel, it's just an example of why that's the sort of thing you need to focus on rather than minutia
@jonathanhenderson94224 ай бұрын
@@wuwenhao1662 I know you're being facetious, but it's worth noting that it's far more difficult (read: impossible) to be perfectly balanced, while taking advantage of opponents' imbalances is much easier and makes you much more money. With a perfectly balanced strategy you only make money from pure errors (eg, when an opponent folds where they should always call or raise), but not from mixing mistakes. If your opponent can call, raise, or fold, your "perfect balance" won't make any money in that hand; however, if they're imbalanced by, say, calling too much, and you adjust by value betting more, you'll be raking in the profits. All opponents are imbalanced, but not all are regularly committing pure mistakes. In poker there are many spots with many hands where it's not even possible to commit a pure mistake.

Because poker is doomed, that's why pro poker players are selling away all the information. Recently, the CEO of GG poker said that pro players are bad for the environment: poker rooms are looking for ways to diminish the edge of pros over recreationals. In the end, they aim to make poker another slot machine. They hate that pro players are the ones taking away the recreational's money. A bad poker player expects to lose about 30% of their deposits, whereas a slot player expects to lose only a 3%. However, that 30% a fish loses goes to the other pros, whereas the 3% a slot player loses is all for the casino. The rake that the casino is charging is a fixed rate, so they are not taking advantage of millionaires playing just like they are taking advantage of them in the rest of casino games. So please never forget this: poker rooms are putting all their effort to crush all the edge you could ever have against a recreational (that's why they are banning bum hunting; that's why they cap the number of tables; that's why shitty rakeback and high rake...)

100 and 200 online are both generally considered mid stakes although I think some people would still consider 100 to be low stakes.

You are stuck at low stakes because people make videos like this and knowledge is easy to get so players get tougher. Second reason is that poker rooms take too much players money. If you are break even you are actually beating low stakes by 7-12 bb/100 but you are break even because pokerroom took your money. Third reason is that someone must be losing a lot of money so other can win it.
