It's crazy how much control Mitch has over his vocals, especially when he can move his jaw when using his vibrato. I never get tired of watching anything Pentatonix. It's mind blowing to witness the vast talent in these 5 beautiful people.

There it is, Mitchface and Avi-awe! Can you believe 5 musicians of that caliber on one stage? The audience is enthralled as are we all.

Here's the story behind this as I've heard it: the song previous to this one was a Kevin cello solo, so the rest of the group was backstage taking a break. Mitch was suffering from jet lag, so he quickly drank two Red Bulls during the break. After Kevin's cello solo, he went backstage to put the cello away (which is why he is not seen in the first wide shot) and the rest of the group returned to begin the choral piece they used to introduce the song. Avi's lower than dirt note blew out one of the Star Vista's speakers just as Kevin came back onstage (not seen on camera). Then, as "Aha" began, Mitch's Red Bulls kicked in and he proceeded to go completely insane! If you look really closely in the shot just before the camera zooms in on Mitch, you can see a sly smile on Kirstie's face, as if she knows what's about to happen. As Mitch puts on the show of a lifetime, Avi continues to joyously shred the sound system in the background! And thus, you have the live performance that most Pentaholics consider the best of the group's career...all apparently only captured on this fan video!

One of the things you'll notice in many of their live show videos is that everyone in the audience is literally silent while they're singing because they don't want to miss anything. then they go absolutely nuts when each song is over, or when it's changing. It's just kind of an unusual dynamic for live performances/concerts of main stream music :)

Awesome reaction! It's hard to believe what comes out of Mitch's mouth! More than not people are dumbfounded when they hear that! Amazing voice! And Avi's bass is just as impressive. He has at times blown speakers. His overtones are unbelievable too! He has a live version of The Lion Sleeps tonight, in which with overtones sung you can hear the whistle. You should check it out! The reason the audio is fuzzy in parts, might slightly lay on the fact it’s recorded from the audience, but mostly because Avi actually blew a speaker in the venue at the beginning 😆

Saw them live in 2018 in Ridgefield Washington. They are the same live as they are on videos. You should check out some of the things they did when they were on the Sing Off, the show they won and that started it all for them. Scott, Kirsten and Mitch have know each other since they were kids and all went to school together. Avi and Kevin joined them just before they competed on the Sing Off. But what they did on there was incredible, and they looked so young.
