The prestigious BRDC Trophy is up for grabs in British GT’s blue-riband three-hour endurance race.
There are no pitstop windows in three-hour races - instead, at least three driver changes must take place and no driver may exceed 100 minutes of drive time.
Mandatory pitstops are also subject to minimum times measured from pit-in to pit-out. In GT3 it’s 135s while GT4 Pro-Am is 165s. All GT4 Silver Cup entries must serve an additional 14s during their mandatory driver changes and carry 25kg of ballast.

Those series you said should take notes are a lot bigger series than this so I'd imagine the TV deals for those are worth a lot more and thus they matter more. Money talks. And F1 and WRC have their own streaming services which of course are not free. I'd say we've already got pretty much as much free livestreamed racing as we can realistically wish to get. I wouldn't say it's really that much about being "a 21st century race series" as it is about money and the status of the series.

@@overwatch6973 Nascar is boring too, as are "baseball", originally a British elementary school game called Rounders, "basketball" originally a British school's game, called net ball for girls, and "football", originally played by the British as RUGBY, and which was too tough for Americans to play without wearing armour and hyping up on steroids. Actually, I would say that the whole nation placed between Mexico, (long a victim of American aggression), and Canada, (again a long-suffering victim of American aggression), is boring and occupied by many people of low education and extremely short attention spans. As to my favourite racing? That is in historic F1 and Le Mans, where the DRIVERS DROVE THE CAR, unlike these days where the engineers in the pits do everything. I must admit a lightening of my heart when a clear southern state moron loses the car and goes to Judgement earlier than planned.

@@itstimeforham I have raced at Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Cadwell Park, Spa, Nurburgring, all of them hilly, and needing intense concentration especially in historics or classic cars. You know those cars that are NOT controlled from the pits. I have also raced in Speed Down, something you have never heard of. It has videos on KZbin, go have a look.
