Agreed and somehow until today, it is more expensive than a RTX 30 and 40 series. I just upgraded my PC from the old boy 1070 to the somewhat new kid with this RTX 3060 12GB.

nvidia gtx 1070 and 1070 ti are still the most powerful graphics cards that were invented in their category of use, until today I have been using them since 2016, I have an nvidia gtx 1070 set, 32 RAM, i 7 6800, etc. and the only thing I bought was an m-2 disk, all applications and games run without a hitch, although it cost over 3000 euros in 2016, until 2021 I didn't have to put a single euro into the PC, when I bought a new disk.

Yep 1070 is still good. Last christmast I built gaming PC for my little bro from new parts (except the GPU which is 1070) So he has i5-11400f paired with it which is surprisingly good cpu. That PC will have long life especially when the GPU can be upgraded down the line. Also the most demanding game he has played so far is elden ring and his pc hits the 60fps cap so there will be no need to upgrade in long time. And when the time comes for GPU upgrade I think it will be either rtx 5000 or rtx 6000 series GPU :)

gtx 1070 still hold up tbh. Especially when I play all AAA games on ps5 and gtx 1070 for esports games. Maybe I will upgrade it in 3~ years when 5000 series comes out:)

Dragons dogma 2 i just watched has gtx1070 gpu as minimum and rtx3060 12gb seems to push around"right under"double fps". So when that game is 1080p 30fps minimum gpu 1070 and i have rtx3060 12gb could i see about middle settings at 60fps mayby in thatnew game when i compare fps in thia game that is somewhat demanding on cpu n gpu? I know thats a wierd way of comparing,but what to do.....

Nice vs video. Most games performance eating coming from shadows or AA. I still have 1070gtx oc from 2016 playing most games flawless at 4kwide alienware dell monitor. Only problem i can't breach is RTX tech lightning games but no big deal to me. Currently my friend gave me 3060 ti this card is so hot and noisy. 75c for a gpu they say its normal but on my 1070 rog usually sits at 57c and no fan noise at all. Looking forward to upgrade may be in this summer but probably i ll go 3090 rog strix 24gb. Big question is any game worth these juicy expensive cards? I dk.

Wow, the GTX 1070 is still doing pretty well. I got one last fall for 70€ used and didn't realize what a deal I got. I'm still running older games so I haven't had any problems, but I'm pleased to see I could even get some slightly newer games to run. Looks like Alan Wake II, the new UE5 games, and Cities Skylines 2 are going to be pretty impossible, especially AW2.

Honestly i would go for the 1070 ti. In a few games you could get 10+ fps difference from the base 1070 and for 20 euros more it's a decent deal. Still if you can wait try to go for a 20 series or amd 6000 series

Able to all games ive tried at 30-60fps in 4k with little tweeking of game files and overclock . Not worth the money for that slight difference. in 1-3 years will get an new motherboard, psu ans will buy a new graphics card ans use 1070 as dedicated one to run local llm to usa ai with them without paying. Till i cant play a game i want to well that comes out ill hold off. Only reason better needed for gaming is online games like shooters and closet i come is fallout and fine playing with 1000+ mods in 4k at 35-45 fps. Zero resion to by better monitor unless you completely play fps

If you want to upgrade, 3060 will be great for a 1080p monitor and 3060 Ti will be great for a 1440p monitor. Personally I would recommend AMD though.

@@chhatrapatikumar For gaming I would use an AMD GPU, but for other stuff I would use an Nvidia GPU. Even though the GTX 1080 ti is faster in terms of raw power, I would assume the RTX 3060 12gb is the better choice for video editing given its newer architecture and that it’s designed to handle streaming data more efficiently. They have a better video encoder, and if you are using a 3d renderer for vfx, some have ray tracing acceleration. So you are getting some 2-5x performance if your software supports it. In addition, the 3000 series GPUs have display stream compression, so they support higher resolution screens.

@@Klar well, XeSS 1.3 just dropped and it's pretty damn good. I'm enjoying Spiderman Remastered, max settings, with XeSS 1.3 (Ultra Quality) and a DLSS-FrameGen-to-FSR3 mod on a 1070, getting 100-150 most of the time.

Rx 6600 xt 8gb vs Rx 5700 xt 8gb vs Rtx 3060 12gb vs GTX 1080 ti 11gb, which one to choose for video editing ?

is it just me or does the colour production look off on the 3060? Namelt RDR2- the colour looks so flat on the 3060 Also to the uploader- u should use 32 gb RAM, 24 GB is not dual channel, I think

it got beaten by rx6600 in all areas
