Yoooo I made a deal with my older brother of him getting me this laptop if I pay 350$ which is my savings for 2 years and him paying the other 200$ as a Christmas gift and I have to give him my i3 laptop cuz he needs a new one. very helpful, I'm getting this set up on a msi, I have a desktop pc that I build with the r9 5950 and a rtx 3060 ti for music production, I'm looking to be more potable since I just started to travel to meet people and record them. I know for fact the cpu on this setup will do the trick for what I need it to do. But I also want something that I can play casually while I travel without going too crazy on the graphic. Thank you.

If you haven't bought it yet. Don't ever get an MSI laptop. The build quality is trash, plastic. Intel cpu is also a bit weaker with the base speed and cores. You can get a ryzen 7 5800h in the same price. There is always a hinge problem in msi laptops. The msi service centres are so trash. They don't offer much after sales services.

i5 10300h gets more FPS in games than ryzen 5 4600h. But ryzen 5 4600h wins in multitasking.

@@abstratogvm136 It's just 1 - 2 fps difference. But Ryzen 5 4600h beats intel i5 10300h because of more cores (4 vs 6) . But in this new gen intel i5 11400h (6 core) beats ryzen 5 5600h (6 core) for performing better in games. But just that, anyways intel is more expensive.

The only thing in this laptop that tends to hold back a lot of the performance is the CPU because it is only 4 cores 8 threads which if you had a 10500H instead that would of been 6 cores and 12 threads so for the CPU demanding titles you would of had a better performance and at least 5 to 10 frames more.

I have the exact same specs, but instead of 16gb RAM, I have 8gb. I can only run forza, on the lowest settings, between 40 and 80 fps with many drops. With the settings on high, I only get 30-40 fps with drops. So, with 16gb RAM, I would get around 90 fps without drops as seen in the video ?

Have you tried 4K on some games? Obviously not anything super new or super demanding but maybe GTA V or others, hell even RDR2 on ps4 equivalent settings which are medium to low. In the end, GTA V with Ps4 equivalent settings is playable at 1440p 55-60 fps, as well as Assassin’s Creed 4, Unity, Wolfenstein The New Order, and some other old games. The most recent games I’ve played were Far Cry 6 but it’s just badly optimized I stopped by playing at 1080p 45 fps ish, and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, which I completed at 1440p with a locked 30, and sometimes on my regular tv at 1080 60fps. However, 4K on GTA V at least is perfectly playable at 30fps with ps4 settings, though maybe lowering something just in case. Never tried RDR2 since I got it for ps4 but haven’t gone back to it
