今回は、戦後間もない昭和24年創業の東京を代表するもつ焼きの老舗「鳥茂」さんの新宿本店および虎ノ門の分店にお邪魔してきました。コースの串１本１本の質が高く、量は想定以上に多かったため、途中からお腹がはちきれんばかりでしたが、とても満足感の高いお料理でした。分店は洗練された内装で、4串のコースからあるなど、少食の方でも楽しめるメニューになっていて、本店とはまた違った楽しみ方ができて二度美味しいお店でした。もつ焼きが好きな方にはぜひ試してみて欲しいお店です。

This time, we visited the Shinjuku main restaurant and the Toranomon branch of Torishige, a long-established restaurant representing Tokyo's typical “Motsuyaki” (innards/organ meats kebab) established in 1949, shortly after the end of World War II. The quality of each skewer of the course was high, and the quantity of food was much larger than expected, so our stomachs were full halfway through the course, but the food was very satisfying. The branch restaurant has a sophisticated interior and a menu that can be enjoyed by those with smaller appetites, including a 4-skewer course. If you like Motsuyaki, you should definitely give this restaurant a try.
