As a matter of fact, Canadians has a higher living quality than Americans. With universal health care, free good quality school system, free from gun crimes and many more....
Xiaoshu, I am the one who suggested the last episode be put on hold until that young man gets settled in the U.S. I am very appreciative of your quick response. Thank you for your compassion! -- Seattle

My suggestion is that episode to not air ever again. It seems the guest worked on some sensitive defense related stuff and the US really has a problem with Chinese citizens who have these connections. Even if he has settled down in the US, they might find issues with his application and kick him out. The guest really said too much. Even though he is 100% out on the gay front, other parts of his life are best to remain private.
It was only after I left China that I realised how things like convenient transport, easy access to food and drink, bustling cities, and vibrant nightlife don’t really matter at all for an individual. The most important thing, wherever you live, is always the people around you. In China, you’re constantly surrounded by anxious, depressed, manic, and various other unhealthy individuals. Engaging with people drains an immense amount of energy because there’s no mutual respect or understanding. In strangers’ eyes, all that matters is money, and you can’t feel that normal human connection anymore - not like it was 20 or even 10 years ago. Remember, it’s always people who drain the most out of you. How many people in China today still have any sense of logic left? Anyone who’s at all perceptive would feel the need to leave. Staying in China now only leads to one of two things: either following others into the same unhealthy patterns or enduring your own suffering. While I can’t get the familiar foods I used to have, that really doesn’t matter when compared to mental and physical well-being. Eating and drinking are trivial when it comes to one’s health.
120% agree with that youtuber saying about what is really important in your life: it is not all high tech, all convenient, all good food in where you are living, the most important is - what quality of person you are living with
