He's kind of dumb because if she would have just kept her mouth shut and let him get married obviously he favored her more and she was more so gaming and if anything were to happen to his wife are they say that he would have then taking her on as the main one the only thing I don't understand is what did she take the stand for at first I thought she was going to ask for a ransom or try to raise him and then come back and claim the title she didn't even know if her husband was going to have the title of his family and what Lena gets a mad as later on how she tells her daughter while you were living a good life a luxury life while your brother was suffering well first of all you made him suffer and second of all she wasn't living a luxury life he had her living with pirates and if it wasn't for his current wife he would have never have decided to change his life around I just don't get what you really took the son if someone could please explain to me

I believe she took the son because he will be of use to her in the future and in her eyes the daughter is useless to her. Even though he's an illegitimate child, he is the first born who can potentially inherit all his riches & become the Master of the Gu clan eventually. But unfortunately she brought him to his demise. But I agree with you, if she had played it smart and kept her cool she could've had it all. She already had him wrapped around her fingers. But her greediness made her shortsighted and not see the big picture.
