Yay, Gin Lee, a Malaysia-born HK-based singer. In the video《Gin Lee New Beginning Music Live 2023》she sings in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese. Her rendition of《Superwoman》is simply amazing. In 2010 she spent 3 months learning Cantonese intensively and by 2011 she became a fluent Cantonese speaker and released her first Cantonese EP in HK. She is currently the best female singer in HK. Gin was the singing coach and mentor of Gigi Yim (who you have reviewed) when Gigi was in a singing competition and ended up winning.

Gin is famous for “eating CD” in the Cantopop scene, as her live singing sounds exactly like her studio versions (or even better). I was there the exact same night of this performance (her solo concert) - she sounded amazing. The other one on the contrary, well, no comments. 🙂 Gurl can write melodies tho, gotta give it to her

This was taken from Gin Lee's 2018 Solo Live Concert《First Of All》in HK and AGA was her guest. You definitely should check out her more recent live performances. I recommend (again) her rendition of《Superwoman》in《Gin Lee New Beginning Music Live 2023》(from 39:47). Apart from singing in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, she also released her first Japanese Pop song early this week.

I would say, Gin is one of the most skillful vocalists in Hong Kong nowadays. And she's very versatile in terms of genre. While Aga is more known for her songwriting and music-making. Vocal and technique wise, she's not on par with a lot of other singers.

Can you react for some of NMIXX stage practice ? @@glexgino Gin Lee原本係唔識講廣東話，佢自己有講過，係嚟到香港踢館之後決定留喺香港發展先學廣東話，一開始錄歌都未係好識講廣東話，後尾佢仲去報中大嘅廣東話課程。 唔係所有馬來西亞人都識講廣東話，而且就算識講，佢哋講嘅廣東話同香港講嘅廣東話都有唔同。

其实并不是哦。要看你在哪里生长。 我本身家庭就是讲广东话，但身边很多朋友来自柔佛、吉兰丹、槟城等等，都不太能说广东话。即使有些能说的，也非常不标准，甚至会不小心发音像脏话。 而Gin刚好就是柔佛人。她在出道时真的不会说广东话。没记错的话，她的家庭主要是以英语和华语为主。 她说过，她在香港出道时，很努力去学习广东话发音。 *顺带一提： 现在因为中国节目的庞大影响，和香港娱乐圈的衰退，年轻一代的孩子已经不去学广东话。家长也选择跟孩子说华语。就如，我现在居住怡保（一个以广东话闻名的城市），但00后的孩子们基本都选择说华语。他们的广东话甚至会走音。

講真,老師經常说音準、走音、顫音、修音等,其實有點兒厭倦。 普通人欣賞一首歌,旋律都好重要,其次相信是表達歌的意思,即係可以感受、感覺及感動,令人產生有悲傷、有愉快、有喜樂各種情緒感受。 這兩位歌手表達什麼情緒,我還未感覺得到,真的抱歉,或者太專注技巧是否失去感染力🤣
