on the ps vita, the developers have made the reward for 10 gold in El inferno a costume instead of chac mool. I would also like to add that I had to purchase it as DLC.

I have a method for staying indefinitely on those Sierra blinking platforms. You will need the max stamina regeneration speed upgrade as well as the max stamina regeneration delay upgrade. At this point you should have learned the Olmec's Headbutt (If not just continue the story...). Double jump on the platform just as it is about to disappear and use the headbutt mid-air. The pause afforded by the aerial animation should be enough for the platform to materialize again just before you touch down again. The animation should have also given your stamina just enough time to refill completely, allowing Juan to interminably do the jumping headbutt. The headbutt is better than the Rooster Uppercut because the animation does not shift Juan to the sides. Use this method to stay on a platform as long as you need before making the next jump. Okay on the PS4 version with the blinking platforms there is ONE MORE ROOM before the one with the long connected platforms. Agh!! JUST GOT TO THE ORB THO!!! I would like to thank Josh Etham for their tip, Mr. Strumbis for making this video, and that carefully timed pausing inbetween jumps is very helpful for getting past the blinking platforms. And that if you can just special move your way over to the end, DO IT!

Indeed it does. It also means (as is demonstrated in this vid) you can fly as a chicken. (Or, to put it more accurately, you gain the ability to do infinite air jumps as a chicken.)

Neat. Just beat the game with the "bad" ending. I looked this up to see if it was worth collecting the orbs. Not that it looks hard but just not worth the time. I got this and Guacamelee 2 on sale for Switch. I'll just move on to the sequel instead.

I don't think there's a portal there on the steam version. I was missing one orb and I thought that was the one, but I forgot that you get the final orb after defeating Calaca.

I have a question about this game. At the entrance to the desert, there is a hard to reach ledge on the other side of the Donkey Kong statue. I figured out how to reach the ledge by flying from a wall about two thirds into the desert, but it didn't seem to serve any purpose. Then I noticed there seems to be an entrance to a chicken run right under the ledge. I assume it leads somewhere, and the desert is the only place I don't have 100%, but so far my attempts to get in there have been futile. Mainly I try flying straight at it and then jumping and turning into a chicken in mid air. A couple of times it looked like it almost worked, but I always miss. Any advice on this part? I came here because I only have half the orbs and I assumed that was one of them. I don't have access to Inferno. It doesn't seem fair to have to pay extra for DLC in an old fashioned game like this.

i just complete this game and you dont need to have acces to inferno to complete the happy ending, i decided to go to final boss by only have 5 orb(and i already have chicken fly ability) and actually i gave up on inferno. the 6th piece which is complete the mask will drop from final boss. dont worry
