I've never been to guam but will be traveling there very soon. I'm a African american guy or black guy whatever you'd like to call it from Anchorage, Alaska and actually have some friends that are from there originally. She was not lyinf at all most of the places like this are very family oriented which is really cool especially if you dont have much family. The food is absolutely amazing. I've been to several cookouts. I'm excited. Thank you!

This video brought some real memories back. I am Guamanian (dad was in the military). I can tell you for a fact that check pinching is 💯 true. As a kid my godmother would make my cry while pinching my check and hugging me. Weight gain 💯

we don’t live on the island. After order my dad never returned to Guam. My mother returned to Guam briefly during the late 80’s to settle with the US govt as they US took our family’s land in Agana to build the military base. My mother and her family were there up to the 60’s

I was stationed in Guam for two months before being transferred to Okinawa, and I love that island! The people are warm and kind, but please don’t over tourism Guam! Keep it family..

Ms. Dani, which base do you think is most hard to access with a visitor? Andersen, NCTAMS, or Big Navy? Just curious., Peace & Hafa Adai !!!!!!

I think Big Navy is harder to get into only because they have more beaches that people like to visit. So that waiting room is always pretty busy 😅 BUT there are so many beautiful beaches off base too!

100% agree on the base. It's seems very discriminatory because of how strict it is to get a pass of all things.

So I don't know how true this is, but I heard about an instance a long time ago where someone used his friend's military ID and wore one of his uniforms to get in. He went on a spending spree buying cheaper gas, groceries, etc. So when an employee figured out that he was a civilian and reported him, then of course the bases became more strict with their process of letting visitors in. Sometimes all it takes is for one person to mess it up for everyone else 😓

It should be hard to get in because it's a military base it's a privilege to enter .

Naval Base Guam has many of bikes being stolen weekly how messed up 😢😮 no video surveillance to catch these crooks shame on Naval Base Guam

@@felipemontes3933 That's terrible! Bikes like motorcycles or bicycles?? Either way that is definitely messed up 😢 Does the base housing not allow you to set up your own home cameras around the property?

Only just realized you replied. Bicycles, so if you or any of your team but bicycles, ensure to get video footage of the entire bike upon purchase, and flip the bike upside down to get the engraved serial number to identify it. Also if you and get some engraving punch letters to stamp and identifying Mark that you will know is yours and record it to verify should anyone steal your personal bike, etc.

@@DaniAdams don't know, however I would set up anyway since base is cheap like that, also take and leave bike in room not outside as weather will rust it prematurely, and this way no one will be able to access it. Perhaps dive gear if you do that already. Are you a contractor?

@@felipemontes3933 That's a great recommendation--thank you! We do have our own snorkel gear and dive gear which we've kept in the house before, but we'll definitely do the same if/when we buy some bikes!

​@@atp-o8s I know I'm sorry haha! Maybe it's an aspect of island life. We're all very close and supportive of each other, so we're likely generally happy people ❤ I can't speak for all women on Guam, but I understand it's easy to compare if you're not satisfied with your current pool.
