@@drsiding939 What are you looking for as far as American food, like burgers or barbecue, etc.? I can narrow it down from there. Guam has the Korean Cab which is very reliable. There's also Good to Go for food delivery, Guam Stroll which is like Uber, and the Red Trolley which has a route to all the tourist spots!

You popped up in my feed . I was stationed on Guam at the naval hospital from 1988 to 1990 and it was the best 2 years of my life. I loved every minute of it and the only time I left the island was to go to Palau. I learned to dive there and did the boonie stomps and all. I'll never forget the night Dives at double reef and at the ship wrecks tokai Maru and Cormoran in apra harbor. Plus we went fishing all the time there. Many of my patients would invite me to their villages for their festivals and I would always go and I thought the food there was absolutely delicious. The bile soup was fantastic. Plus I was there when Ricky bordalio killed himself and on duty in the emergency department at the time it happened even listening to the radio transmissions with Guam EMS. I went thru a neat miss Typhon. And of course, there were the blackouts caused by Brown tree snakes. And monitor lizards roaming around.. I could write a book about all the fun and crazy and exciting experiences I had while living there. I would love to go back and bring my wife.

I've never been to guam but will be traveling there very soon. I'm a African american guy or black guy whatever you'd like to call it from Anchorage, Alaska and actually have some friends that are from there originally. She was not lyinf at all most of the places like this are very family oriented which is really cool especially if you dont have much family. The food is absolutely amazing. I've been to several cookouts. I'm excited. Thank you!

Right? Same! I learn from family and from my Chamoru dictionary, but I'm seriously considering developing an actual app for learning Chamoru. Other language learning apps only cover the most common languages like Spanish, Japanese, European languages, etc.

That's a great question! I'd say it's just like any American Christmas celebration just with different food and better weather, haha! Majority of the island is Catholic or Christian, so the locals will typically attend Christmas Eve mass or Christmas Day mass then have a big feast with their families. My family and I used to gather with our extended family at our grandparents' house and open presents and play games. Great times ❤

I am surprised you know chamoru I from Guam and I 12 almost 13 and I born speaking chamoru and when had move for military I had learn and my mom speaks English so she teach me I still learn but I try I learn 4 years only learn write and right now I in Hawaii so I try but my English not that great but I get it sometime I going back to Guam for Christmas

Lol we use to laugh at my Grandaddy and his sisters when they spoke Chamoru, always thought it was kind of cool. But as an adult it’s rlly a whole flex to speak chamoru !!

4:04 aww wow I was always taught it was the island way. But as I grew to adult I noticed it was a pesky thing tht we did n my family when offering them money. To me it always was so long and drawn out tho. The Amt of times we have been told no as well as we learned to say no sooooooo many if not toooo many times 😂😂😂😂 I had a feeling it had to do with tht old “island way” saying, encompassing a whole lifestyle of ❤ Guaiya !!!!

Only just realized you replied. Bicycles, so if you or any of your team but bicycles, ensure to get video footage of the entire bike upon purchase, and flip the bike upside down to get the engraved serial number to identify it. Also if you and get some engraving punch letters to stamp and identifying Mark that you will know is yours and record it to verify should anyone steal your personal bike, etc.

@@DaniAdams don't know, however I would set up anyway since base is cheap like that, also take and leave bike in room not outside as weather will rust it prematurely, and this way no one will be able to access it. Perhaps dive gear if you do that already. Are you a contractor?

Just found your channel! My dad, David Perez Aguon, married my mom when I was 4 years old. He adopted me a few years later and honored me with his last name. I am howley with a chamoro last name. He was from the village of Dededo. Found out recently that he was of the makakka clan. A cousin was from the tiso clan. A lot of good memories.
