You can apply to Alaska, Montana, New York or Guam. They all do not have these requirements

You will need your passport for prometric security issues. However, if you don't have a U.S. passport, I'am not sure if Guam requires a visa or certain passports to be able to visit it

Means that principle courses are not counted, like accounting principles I and II and business principles..

Yes great video. If one has 150 credit but the bachelors degree (Economics) or masters degree (MBA in business) doesnt have enough accounting credits can one do a 1 year course in accounting. Iam Doing a accounting 1 year certification and will get 28 accounting credits will that work? Technically my bachelors was still not in accounting but later made up for it. Business course is not a problem since I have an MBA. Also can I sit for exam before completing 1 year certification.

I graduated from United States and I earned more 6 credits from King Fahad University in Saudi Arabia. What is the first step I need to take to prepare for the exam? First, you should select the state you want to apply to, then send your credentials for evaluation. After receiving your evaluation, you can buy a course and begin studying and apply to sit while you are studying. Only apply for the parts you think you will be ready to sit for. Hi Alaa which one is easier to get license for international candidates, Guam or Virgin Islands , and Kindly I need to know why you recommended Virgin Islands for international candidates and not Guam ? Thanks Alaa

Salam Sherif, Guam is better for international candidates. Virgin Islands is a good option for candidates who do not meet the 150 hours requirement, however, it requires candidates to be US residents so it is not suitable for international candidates

Yes it is possible, you can sit for the exam and fulfill your education requirements within eighteen (18) months of the actual date you sit for your first Exam section.

Alaa if I have 120 hours and more than 2 years experience in industry should I pass the ethics exam to be licensed or it’s not required, as I heard from some people that in my case I should pass the ethics exam to get license from Guam

You are eligible if your education has a minimum of 120 credit hours including 24 hours in accounting (must include financial accounting, cost acct, audit and taxation) and 24 hours in business (6 hours in economics, 3 hours in business law and 3 hours in finance).

Your videos are very helpful. I am an international student & have completed all 4 exams from Alaska board in 2017. As per licence requirements for AL board you need to have 2 years/3 years experience in Public/private company under licensed CPA. Being international student it is hard to fulfil such condition. I am planning to move my exams to Guam board now. My question is 1) I have not yet appeared for Ethic exam under AL board yet. Do I need to appear for ethics exam in AL first before moving my exams to GU or I can do it without sitting for Ethics exam in AL. 2) I am done Bachelor in Commerce bachelor degree & Company Secretary (CS) certification from India. How can I check if my CS will be considered for CPA's bachelor degree requirement. AL board considered my CS but Washington did not consider it.How or from where can I check or assure myself if GU would accept my CS certification. Bachelor degree in India is of 3 years. And I can not get my degrees evaluated for every state from NASBA. When I ask state they simply reply to get my credentials evaluated first.

I have applied for evaluation from NASBA and as per report I am meeting all these criteria also I have notice same requirements are written in GUAM official site but all over the internet other sites are saying it also require 3 credits each in upper accounting subjects like audit taxation managerial or cost accounting and financial accounting. Please guide regarding eligibility which one is correct. I write email to guam official but they did not confirm or reject my eligibility. Please tell what to do?

You must have these courses to be eligible, if you have a major in accounting you should must have already taken these courses from the university.

Hi Alaa Can I please contact you by email for CPA licensure queries. I have 13 years experience and last 5 years with an Active CPA. I have cleared the exam in 2007 and the Ethics exam recently. I took the exam in 2007 from State Board of Delaware where in FACS had equated my 3 year bachelor degree with A+/First division as equivalent to a US 3 year associates degree so I believe I might be even short of 120 hours although WES US is probably going to equate my education to US bachelors degree. Does GUAM accept WES and does this sound like a route to take for attaining my CPA license. Looking forward to connect by email. Regards

The following is a part of Facs evaluation report :- In our opinion, Mr. Emam Mohamed’s Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Higher Institute for Advanced Studies (Egypt, 2007) can be considered equivalent to a baccalaureate degree received from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States. He has completed exactly one hundred and twenty-two and one-half (122.5) semester hours. Mr. Emam Mohamed has completed at least twenty-four (24) semester hours in accounting at the upper division level, including courses in the subjects of financial accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting; and he has completed at least twenty-four (24) semester hours in business courses, which include six (6) semester hours in economics and three (3) semester hours in finance. Based on the transcript provided to us, he did not complete a course in business law at the Higher Institute for Advanced Studies.

Salam Mohamed, can you check with your university if you can take this course? If not, you will have to take an online course through an accredited university. You can also take a masters degree including this course which will help you for licensing purposes as well.
