@br33anoia4321 I have been searching for your page all day. Thank you for asking. I didn't get 75. But I have jumped back on the horse after assessing why I didn't pass. I am disappointed because I had studied harder this go around. Not well enough. Took auditing over five years ago and gave up when I didn't pass. When I first took auditing, I had seen some recycled questions. This time, no such luck. It seems my foundational knowledge of auditing is weak. Do you have any suggestions about how to strengthen my auditing foundational knowledge? Thank you so much.

Well I would try my best to not use my notes. And if I was using my notes it was an indicator that I wasn't 100% comfortable with the content yet. So just judging how I feel with it was the way i determined it.

@JoeyCPA There is a definite causation and correlation between graduation and passing the exam. If everyone who goes into accounting is expected to be licensed then colleges and universities should only teach to pass the exam.

Would you say finish one chapter for 5 days ( M-F ) for about 2 hours including taking notes then on the weekends ( Sat and Sun) review notes, practice MCQs, do SIMs is a good strategy or that would take too much of my time?
@JoeyCPAАй бұрын
Hey, I would say that you shouldn't necessarily put a time frame of 2 hours per chapter bc some will be faster and some might be slower. I would just say maybe spend 2 hours moving forward in the course every day and then 30 mins -1 hr reviewing previous material each day. I don't think your plan is bad but that's the change i would make. Also, I created a study plan that consists of 2.5 hours of study per day, 1 rest day per week, and will get you through the review course in less than 2 months (For FAR with Becker). You can check it out here if you're interested. www.smartercpasreviews.com/the-perfect-squeeze-page

Hi, just a quick question. I learned some basic accounting in college, but not much compared to an accounting student. I’m planning to take the CPA exam in the next two years. Should I start Becker immediately or find more basic accounting books/ courses to advance my knowledge first? I don't know whether Becker is more advanced for me or if I can start from Becker. I am stuck about this since Becker is such a significant investment. I really appreciate your response!
@karis11283 ай бұрын
Hi! Currently studying for the CPA using the Becker free trial and with Becker it’s information overload. They intentionally overload you with information so that’s it’s easier than the CPA. I definitely recommend to try the free trial and get a feel but it’s definitely gonna feel overwhelming at first lol. Just need lots of practice!
@JoeyCPA3 ай бұрын
@@karis1128 Yup, I 100% agree with this. Becker would be a good resource but I understand it is a large investment. If you're interested, I created a CPA review supplement which has great content and is far more affordable than Becker. You can check it out at smartercpasreviews.com. The other thing to consider is to make sure you're even eligible to sit for the CPA Exam. Check your state requirements to find out.
@mateofenn2 ай бұрын
You probably won't be eligible for the CPA. In my state, you need so many accounting credit hours and so many business credit hours. If you only took a few courses then you probably won't be eligible.

Would you do 1 module a day? And split up your time half and half studying the new module, and reviewing the old chapters? Thanks!

It depends on how much time you want to spend studying but for me, I would do a couple modules each day and also review some older modules. This might take 3-4 hours of studying but that was what I was ok with.

How many hours every day do you recommend to prepare for the exam?
@JoeyCPA2 ай бұрын
I would say 2-3 hour is definetly a solid amount. Some days may be more some days may be less. But it also depends on how quickly you want to sit for the exam? If you want to take it in 4 weeks you will have to do more than 2-3 hours a day. But if you want to take it in 4 months you can study a bit less every day.
