I visited a few months ago and stayed in Quepos. It was beautiful but I had a hard time adjusting to the humidity coming from AZ. I saw some amazing wildlife.

Do you recommend traveling in August ?
@willwork2travel Жыл бұрын
Both August and July typically have nicer weather than the months before and after. It is the middle of the rainy season but many years there is a lull in the rains starting in July and ending in August - especially in Guanacaste. Costa Ricans call this little dry season veranillo, and if you’re lucky you won’t need your umbrella at all on a visit to the northwest.
@ewoodrailway2 жыл бұрын
No sign of any rain. We were booked for august 2020 cancelled due to covid. Would love to go but what’s the weather like this time of year is the big question
@willwork2travel2 жыл бұрын
May to November is the rainy season, and we were there in July but the west coast generally gets less annual rainfall than the eastern areas of Costa Rica.

Wow, that’s awesome! Is there a link you can provide for the car rental place? I’m going to CR in August and will need to rent a car and I’m not sure where to go!

Are there lot of tours there to see around
@willwork2travel3 жыл бұрын
We didn’t use any tour groups, but there are several companies that offer things like zip lining, rain forest tours, and other adventures. Some can be booked thru hotels or take a look at TripAdvisor for suggestions and reviews.

Do you need a SIM card or such to use the Waze app? I have T-Mobile if that helps… also was your car automatic? I heard Costa Rica only has rental that are manual. Thanks for the answers!
@willwork2travel3 жыл бұрын
We used our international data plan on our phones so it worked just like it does in the USA for Waze. You might want to download the region to your phone while on WiFi though, as cell service can drop and then the maps don’t always load. Google will allow your to download maps while on WiFi and then if service drops you still have it available “offline”.
@willwork2travel3 жыл бұрын
Our vehicle had automatic transmission and available 4 wheel drive. You might check with the rental company first to see what they have. We booked online and the site had options you could choose.

Just a suggestion: Your camera person is not allowing sufficient time for viewers to read and digest signs. Whenever there are things to read, please allow sufficient time for us viewers to focus our eyes and study the entire sign. I had to stop the video multiple times to go back, stop the video again just to read stuff. The same goes for allowing viewers sufficient time to enjoy the beautiful views. Your one or two second glimpses are very eye fatiguing. It makes for a far more professional video to give us more time. Thanks.

Yes, we paid $65 (USD) per person at the airport. We did schedule the test ahead of time for the day of our departure. You can also get tested on-site at some resorts/hotels.
