I have one and absolutely love it. Easy to use and very accurate. Game changer for cart path only days. They also have great customer service? Had a small issue with the rangefinder, sent it back in, and the same day they sent me a brand new one. They also have a magnet cover in testing and hope it to be out soon. That is the only thing this rangefinder really needs.

Gabe- Great Rangefinder! Would love it if you did an in depth vid on your new driver, Ping 10K with Brava shaft..!! I'm headed down to BGT in Richardson TX to build my 10K with Brava shaft in mid-June! Excited about the shaft tech and the more forgiving 10K head! Thank you!!

I've been wanting one of these for a while. I've known a few people that have had the Cube and they love it. I don't ride very often but on occasion I have to because either the course requires a cart or the distance between tees is too much for my 56 year old tushy doesn't want to walk a 800 yards between tees. This is on my radar for my birthday in a couple of months. Will send the link to my son as a 'hint'. They do make a silicone cover for the Cube that might correct some of the slipping issues. If and when I order one (I still have a hard time pulling the trigger on something when the one I have still works fine) I probably get one of those as well. It's only 20 bucks.

Finally decided to upgrade to the Cube. The current version has a silicone case with a magnet. I like the ability to recharge. Only downside I see thus far is the colors of the reticle. Red and Green are very bright to the eyes. I was shocked a bit the first time I looked thru the view finder and turned it on. Whoa. Read the user manual but did not see the ability to adjust the brightness. Looking forward to see the results after a few rounds.

1) magnet interferes with the internal processor which requires heavier insulation that would make it much bulkier and is small enough to keep in pocket or on belt in the ca 2) you can get a silicone cover for grip or just grab a silicone band or two to wrap around it 3) waterproofing increases cost substantially and reason the cost is so good and do you really care about yardage when it’s pouring and you have the Garmin S70 on the wrist anyway.

You're still gonna bring those clubs if you can't see your ball and if you aren't sure of the lie. The Garmin Z82 is awesome. The battery that everyone discusses is small so it actually charges really fast. I can grab it on the way to the course and charge it until I arrive and be just fine.

It comes with a rubber case that keeps it from being slippery. Also, they have a new case coming out that will have a magnet on it. My con is that the display on the side could be a little brighter.. but it is the best range finder I've ever used. And I've used it for 1 year

Question Gabe. I want to know what your opinion of this situation. I have a Garmin S62 watch to use for my distances and a range finder I almost never use. There are times I play with others and the distances between my watch and their range finders can be off by as much as 10 to 15 yards. Which do you feel is truly the most accurate or have you tested this scenario? If it’s anyone, I’m sure you would come up with the solution to this quandary!
@RyKnocks
@RyKnocks Ай бұрын
It depends on how accurate you are. If you're really good and are accurate to 5-10 yards, then a rangefinder would help more. If you're not accurate to 5-10yds, then you just need enough info to know which club you're hitting with. There's a mental element to this too. If you don't feel confident in your watch, then get a rangefinder. It's like when people say a new $3000 set isn't going to make you better (which is usually technically true), but if it makes you more confident, then who am I to tell you how to spend your money? Confidence is always key in my book, so go with whatever encourages that.

When I first started playing golf, and I am sure when you first started Gabe,this type of technology was not available. I would never have dreamed about this. Playing in the UK when I first started, buying the course yardage book from the Pro was a must. Things are simpler now Gabe, all you have to do now is hit the ball the yardage your range finder tells you,and hit it straight. That is where I have my problem. When is it that you are over here near Thailand?

Great technology but I question the ballistics feature. From 175 one person might use an 8 iron and another might use a 4 iron. Unless you input your loft, launch angle, I don't see how it could be accurate. Again though, very nice product.

I have to say, I really wonder how many average golfers truly need some super accurate rangefinder ? I would go so far as to say maybe 1 in 100 players has the ability to accurately hit specific yardages. So honestly why pay $349 when $25 actually does the job ?

@@JLeeGolfThe rule change was in part facilitated by the USGA and R&A when the governing bodies modernized the Rules of Golf in 2019, when the devices were declared legal, albeit with qualifications. As the rule states, a “golf course or the Committee in charge of a competition does have the option to prohibit the use of distance-measuring devices by Local Rule.” The USGA allows for rangefinders in some of their amateur events as long as the slope function is disabled. This has sometimes led to confusion; it was at last year’s U.S. Women’s Open that rookie Natthakritta Vongtaveelap was disqualified when her caddie used a rangefinder multiple times during the first round at Pebble Beach.
