I wish Kyah and Kaleb good luck on raising the chicks for the fair. I hope the chicks survive the heat in your area. It's fun to see the emus enjoying the wading pools, until Millie and the other geese chased them off. It was fun to see the goats eager to eat the leaves off the tree. I live in a large suburban area, and from time to time I will see a large herd of goats being used to eat down the brush and weeds in certain places.

Maybe try putting the chiller pad in the corner where Moe sleeps, he probably like the cold of the brick on his back. To help keep the chicks in maybe try something like pool noodles (not sure if they would peck on it or not) around the outside of the chicken tractor.

The broiler chicks are so cute! Hope they do okay in the heat and you have some good sized birds come fair time! 🙏 The emus stole the show again, they are so fun to watch! I grew up near Bancroft so am sure you have good Iowa stock . 4 H has been important part of kids growing up there I was a 4Her for 8 years all the different skills and life lessons are priceless! Be careful with the emus pecking your ears Lesters often draw blood when they get his ears painful. They are so cute and grow. So much. Hope the rain helped recently. I rewound and counted the baby chicks. Lol. I love seeing them at Tractor Supply. We used to be able to see them up close. But now they have a huge cage around them.
