I just opened youtube because I wanted to look for tips on this double under pass because it's been killing me and this was in my feed - perfect timing. Thanks!

If you look at the statistics, passing is nearly the whole game now. Thanks for showing us the less "sexy" but more important part of the game.

Double under is one of my go-to moves... now guys at my dojo are doing this same underhook of one arm defense... so far it has been quite effective defense against me. I too, am looking for a solution. Jason, please help if you can. Thanks!

Terriblexone: you are leaving too much space. Drive your shoulders into him so he can't lace you. If he does lace u, change directions so that his laced arm is pressed into the mat. This will prevent the kick out

Jason im getting stuck in my double under because hes shooting an underhook on one of my arms so he can push his leg into a triangle. Any advice on how to counter this?

how would you prevent him from getting a triangle?

He can't get a triangle if both your arms are below his legs. You have to be very careful though because it is a dangerous situation.

@jason scully do you have any videos on keeping your guard or guard retention? Playing guard is my weakness. That is the reason why I choose to play top game. However I feel I need to start building my guard to complete my game of being a good Jiu Jitsu practitioner. I have a difficult time defending knee slice pass, torreandos, etc..., everything when I'm on my back. I feel anyone can pass my guard once I'm on my back. I know it's something basic but I've been having this trouble for years. (Still stuck at blue belt) I feel that if I can finally establish a good guard game, it will definitely improve my Jiu Jitsu to the next level. I need your help please. Looking forward for your feed back. Mahalosss \m/

Suggestion: make your text tips that show up a different color than your website at the top. First half of the video My brain just ignored it: "yeah I'm already subscribed, don't let the conscious part of me see it..."

going as far as saying something is bad, just by seeing a video perhaps tells us more about your master, than the quality of the contents.

I'm a white belt so there's probably something I'm missing from this video. I think this technique probably needs to be pulled off very quickly otherwise all he has to do is fold his legs over and your done.
