I know that sounds bad. But hear me out… The fake out death scenes were yet another reminder of the lack of consequences present in all of Disney’s franchises (Marvel, Star Wars, funnily enough, Pixar movies like Toy Story 4 and Inside Out are some of the most heart breaking, because they actually feature consequences). Adam Warlock feels extremely out of place. Really his only purpose was to drive forward bad writing (oh no, we something to start everything, I guess he’ll do it. Oh no, we need someone to save Peter for no reason, I guess he’ll do it) I see that you’ve pointed these out though, so maybe the least objective, and for me, the reason I dislike the movie so much. There was so much anticipation built up for a great deal of sadnesses, I mean people were saying to expect to come out crying. I understand that the movie is sad, but for me, nothing tear-jerking ever came. It plays into my first point that I know nothing consequential will happen and therefore am not as emotionally affected. Was it a good story? Sure Do think it was a little long? Yes But ultimately the let down of this promised great emotional rollercoaster, only to be left waiting for something sad to actually happen… well that kinda ruins the movie.

That's a dumb request if you firmly believe the movie is overrated then it's going to be impossible to change your mind even if Jesus showed up to change your mind you would still think the movie is overrated since it's your opinion and it's near impossible to change anyone's opinion on something and especially politics.
