I just went to the 9/11 memorial on 9/11. I had no idea that they were still identifying bodies in the building. Super emotional and somber. Very well put together. Wish the buzzing wasn’t occurring, really hard to concentrate on what they were saying.

Great episode. John's a good man. I found out I have a rare form of pancreatic cancer last September 19th. Less than 2 weeks later my son OD'ed on October 1st, his mom's birthday.....98% fentanyl. It's been a helluva year.

I’m very sorry to hear this. I hope that your pancreatic cancer is being healed. My grandpa survived his pancreatic cancer when he was 84 or 85. He also had skin cancer earlier in his life, and prostrate cancer that he survived both. He ended passing due to something else completely unrelated to his pancreatic cancer when he was 86. Tough old Texan.

Andy and John, thank you for your service on the front lines of the cell service wars. My uncle died in 2006 as a direct result of not having a cellphone in the Texas backcountry. Andy, maybe if you would have been less stingy and used those minutes faster to accelerate the demand of the advancement of that technology, maybe he’d still be here. 😢 So Andy, I feel like his death can somehow be directly correlated to you during that 2006 time period as a result of you not using your cellphone enough, and I would like to respectfully request adequate compensation specifically from you to benefit my uncle’s widow and kids. Is that an actual issue ? Marijuana sold on the black market has always been dramatically varied in quality. There are dramatic difference in regional quality as well as individual quality based on source. I would expect the formally, legally grown and regulated stuff to be generally good quality if not ridiculously potent. Is that the issue or is it an issue of extreme consumption on the level of a junkie causing neurotransmitter saturation to the point of immunity?

I gotta be honest… I was frustrated with the fact that it took him until the tail end of the podcast to really make the point of “Look macro, not micro, because this is about the bigger picture for America” … If he would have started out with that instead of waiting 80 minutes to say it, he’d probably be a lot better at getting people to understand this concept.. He spends all this time using the most extreme and rare examples as his stories, but what he should be doing instead is explaining that bigger picture that he’s talking about so that people can have a comprehensive understanding and not just dismiss it as some “stupid weed thing”.
