That was a sad story. Here's what I got to know, "The main story revolves around Harriet, who receives a cursed music box from her distant husband. The box makes her hallucinate, seeing glowing symbols on the walls and on objects around the house, and a legless monster. In reality, the monster that's chasing her is actually her son, who wants to hug her. By the end of the game, Harriet has grabbed ('unlocked') an ancient knife and launches at the monster in an attempt to kill it, while in actuality is murdering her own son." 😔

The monster was her kid. The medication on the table indicates her mental illness. "It was all a mistake", "Guess Who?", and ,"FIX IT!" written on the wall. And the kid covering her eyes playfully. The "monster" is legless and slow because it is actually a child. The child probably thought that the mom was playing hide and seek with him. This is why he was following her throughout the game, and him hearing the music box the dad gave the mom on one of his trips for his job, made it easier for the child to find her. When she was going upstairs the kid was watching TV. Along with the moaning of the monster, sped up it probably says something like, mom or mother. The mother killed her own child without knowing it. She grabbed the sword that the dad probably got from his job and stabbed the kid with it, killing him. This is why the kids face on the family portrait is smeared with blood and why there is a small handprint of the child on the radiator.
