Peter Kim Nah. Hoan is a different dancer when in Europe or bigger battles like summer dance forever. He was untouchable back then especially when he beat Salah. But comparing his performance then to now (2019), well Hozin may be performing better.

For me the reason why Gucchon won this battle is because of how he rides the music despite being placed in awkward positions/angles WITHOUT having to reset (example is his combo from 6:05 onwards). While Hoan had more powerful and cleaner moves, his resets are quite noticeable, cutting his flow and feel. It also seemed like there were parts that he was playing safe. The more I watch popping, the more I feel that popping isn't just hitting hard/doing the cool moves; it's getting to translate music into visible form through popping fundamentals, original moves, and musicality. Nonetheless, these two are among my favorite poppers (aside from Slim Boogie, Kite, and Jaygee) and who knows maybe Hoan would win in a different day.

I was about to say Hoan will slay Gucchon in the Dog Masta song but Gucchon came back but Hoan did win that round. I like Gucchon but he lacks the power moves and his moves seems repetitive when he’s trying to incorporate himself to the dance. Like what he did in Summer Dance Forever (I think 2015). Well to each his own then hahaha!

totally agree with u, and il add that a few years ago i couldnt see why people even thought guchon or jaygee were good. sometimes u need a lot of exposure to the dance and one day it clicks and u just get it (cus theyr more subtle than say hoan etc). but they have this super raw in the moment feel of it when u can see theyr just going with the music. strong foundation + all their feeling and originality, its super cool. Greenteck went more this way too when he used to be more of a hoan like beat killer, and i love it. seeing green vs guchon is so good nowdays.

mulic benjamin He lost because he is below Gucchon. Hoan is still focused on beat killing, which is fine. He is arguably the world's best at it. But Gucchon already surpassed that level. Gucchon isn't so focused on freaking the beat at all times. He is just dancing and fucking with different melodies and his ability to weave in n out of various rhythmns is alien-like. He and Walid are similar in this respect.

also I will add I think he is fine. If u wanna see the worst MCs watch the uk bboy battles. It's a constant barrage of "someobody is going home!" and "somebody came to win!". I mean literally 5-10 times per track (2 mins). It is so annoying and it means nothing anyway! telling us someone wins and someone loses, thats what a battle is, we know. "2 men enter, one goes home!" and "I dont think he likes you!" if they get close to anyone. Trust me if u watch that event on here, ul really appreciate this guy =)

for the 1st time ever, as a Hoan' huge fan, i knew from the title Guvchon vs Hoan, i knew straightaway that Hoan would lose this battle. Gucchon in my opinion, has much more experience and he danced longer than hoan did. He is an OG ffs. On the other hand, Hoan has been proving himself in many battles that he is also one of a kind level of dancer. He is still so young and so we cannot simply judge his potential. However, I would prefer Gucchon on funky beats and originality a lot more, but when it comes to beat killing and fast tempo beat Hoan is also damn good at them. Dance is an art it isn't a sport, it is meaningless to criticize. And please do bear in mind a person like DS You is a typical Korean patriotic Hoan fan boy(as you can see from his channel) so just ignore him, and also you do not ever call one of the finest dancer like Hoan as a cat, because that young little cat you named already has beaten legends multiple times, proving that he "danced" better than anyone on the stage. Even the greatest, the one and only best popping dancer cannot beat some world class level dancer anytime anyday. It depends on music, confidence, condition and luck.

First of all, show some respect to Hoan's hard work. He is very dedicated and very passionate about popping. He might be showing off a little, that's true, but he is REALLY good at it. It is not that easy to be a beat killer, especially in such good way as Hoan, this requires a lot of charisma and hard work to actually be able to do that in the way Hoan does. By the way, Hoan won billions of battles judged by people more competent than you, so show some humility and respect for dancers. I know Gucchon is a living legend, but there are other awesome and new dancers which put enormous amount of effort and hard work into their passion producing awesome dancing skills. Przemek Leśniak ofc that does need appreciation but Hoan is already receiving love from too many people. I am not gonna go to where the crowd is going. I like new poppers like MT Pop, you see he beatfreaks but you can also see he will never run out of moves even in a 1 hour cypher. In a battle, risks must be taken, dance must be displayed. If someone does not make any mistake or go off beat, he is not taking any risks ^_^ If someone seems too perfect in freestyle dance then that person is simply doing the routine from muscle memory. A real freestyler is never perfect, a freestyle displays an ability to dance and normally do not display the cleanest of moves unless it is robotics and animation. For me, i only like dancers who explore new heights. Dance is freedom, let's not be so restrictive but if it is a battle then you have few moments to show all you got which is why most battles are dull since the dancers stopped dancing with their soul. Only when dancers who dance with their soul without giving a damn about how they look can be called a freestyle dancer ^_^ I judge dancers based on their ability to get in a position/angle they have never gotten themselves into and finding a way out of it on the spot on the dance floor ^_^ We got to remember than popping foundation is only there to get our body used to popping, it is actually better to not use the foundation moves as long as we know how to pop and the knowledge of angles and the ability to hear funk ^_^

Both are great, but everybody has their favorites, and mine is Hoan. Gucchon has alot of style and experience but does to many close sporatic movements that make his art of dancing boring at times, Hoan is sharp, fast, but more loose to do do more wider movements, plus he has way more tricks which makes watching him more entertaining. Plus he has the ability to jump in the air and amazingly stay on beat. Hoan is the man, and in my book a better dancer and entertainer.
