I'm so glad a few designer houses are starting to break out of the plain - jane metro-sexual sweet/safe releases of the past decade. It's nice to finally start seeing a few fragrances that are geared for the real man again!

I recently got a sampler of this and wore it on a 95 degree day while doing auto work. It was perfect and worked with the grease and oil smells nicely. Very masculine.

I definitely love this masterpiece. It is a rare combination. Leather, even sheep. I love it. As you mentioned, it is not mass appealing, but very daring. My experience says it does not last long on your skin, but on your clothes, it stays very brash for 3 hours and lasts for 7, 8 hours. I could even smell it the day after I wore. Cheers.

I tried this and I really loved it. It smells very leathery and it kind of reminded me of the scents in the 70's and 80's. Longevity is very good. It lasted 12 hours on me.

This is one of those releases that I would classify as a "fragrance" more than a "scent" - the latter meaning in the traditional sense of what one may think of when they want to put on something to wear to "smell good" - though this smell is not by any means off putting and has facets to it that kind of smells good, it's more fittingly imho personally appealing. It's more of a personal enjoyment affair where people may end up liking it on you. It's smooth, classy and medicinal - yet not herbaceous. It has something to it that smells like a gauze pad in a clinic and yet it's not off putting at all and I'd have no hesitation about putting it on. At the same time, it doesn't altogether fit in anywhere either. I definitely get the reminder of Fahrenheit here with something that is petrol and violet like and with my eyes closed, I wouldn't doubt it if someone told me that it was a Fahrenheit flanker, but this in comparison doesn't smell nostalgic or dare I say a bit dated like Fahrenheit and isn't nearly as characteristic. It's a really nice masculine, manly scent without trying to be mannish at all - an easy to wear woody, leathery, smooth earthy scent that kind of also smells like a fresh opened band-aid. The last part may sound a little funny but it's a fragrance that I want to add in my collection and just have on for myself and wear it as inclined. It's easy to reach for despite not having the associations of a signature scent but could be for the right guy. It's worth every penny if found discounted (i.e. 40ish dollar range for a 1.7) just for the quality and masculinity of the scent. I, much like you: like it, but I don't love it - but not because it's hard to love, it's just very easy to like. Great intro to niche like, "different" than your run on the mill fragrances. 2024 Edit - I also think that bergamot here along with amber in place of patchouli could have made this fragrance more characteristic and wearable for most while still standing out as a somewhat daring scent. The bergamot to me would help it to stay in line with the Gucci Guilty line known for citrus as a feature, but this would be more of a sparkling, classy and complex use of it with bergamot to compliment the earthy, leathery vibe that fits in instead of takes over. Amber I believe would make it more familiar and welcoming to most noses yet allowing it to maintain it's distinction. Still a strong like for me.

feels like a leather goods store. (acqua di Parma leather) very strong. spray it on your cloth lasts for weeks

Hmm i got 12+ hrs with this one. Smells nice in the drydown but that Dettol opening is off putting

When you buy such an expensive juice and you don't want to put it in the garbage. Just take another clean/fresh juice and mix theme together. Best result ever. It works with any Citrus juice.

Very daring!! To me it smells like when you leave a cigar in an old wooden ashtray and that smell of burning wood. Very dry, very mature and needs a specific skin to shine. Totally not for me. Fahrenheit vibe... it is there but not that pronounced. It will have it's fans, definitely not for the masses.

it's nothing in Niche, you get those 9 scents per 10 but that of course does not mean I like that sort of thing, couldn't hate it more! Give me Aventus (for free preferably lol) and I'm a happy man!

Indeed ! Gucci’s been releasing pure cr*p haha sorry I had to say so ! But this ... oh man 😍 leather galore and not sweet like Fahrenheit which I love too . I was a little disappointed with performance, just ok (6-7h) but smells past the day on clothes. Gucci Guilty Absolute is the kind of fragrance that you need to try at least 2-3 times to make yourself convinced of wearing it and so did I ! And yes , it’s a very close encounter projection but the funny thing is that last week I went to my local retail store and sprayed 3 times . After 15 min the employee smelled that about 5ft away 😂 he told me “whoa that smells so good! What is it?”

I just got this from Amazon. Terrible. Hardly any smell at all. The batch code said made in 2017 so it’s legit I guess. Either a bad batch or bad storage. My coworker wears this and it has nuclear projection and smells divine. Bad luck for me. Mine is made in the uk if that means any difference
