Gucci Loafers | Are They Worth It? | Review

Hello there! Hope you are well :) I am seriously considering purchasing a pair, since you have owned these for years are there any negatives in your opinion? If maintained do they age well?

My issue is I don’t like any of Gucci’s handbags, only the loafers. But I feel like if i buy a pair of these loafers I have to get a gucci bag to go with it because it would look tacky to have a different brand bag with these shoes. But at the same time they don’t have a recognizable logo so people wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell unless they were familiar with the loafers.

These are super cute, they do them white and they’re amazing too! Random question but is the leather breathable or would you find they make your feet sweat?

White sounds super cute! Yes, for me, I find that they make my feet sweat. I guess I could wear no-show socks, but I've become used to it.

Chicago Style Icon I don’t like wearing no-show socks either 😂 but because you wear them barefoot and they make you sweat do they ever begin to smell or make your feet smell? I should probably try to wear socks more myself lol

It’s crazy, I’ve found that neither smell as long as you make sure to let them breathe for a day after you wear them.

You mentioned that you should have them resoled after buying (before wearing them)...why is that? I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago and have worn them a handful of times, is it took late to resole them?

It’s not too late at all! I said it because I waited too long - walked in the rain a few too many times. If you have the chance, I would take them to a shoe repair person to see what they think. Hope you’re loving your shoes!!

Yes, I still wear them! I was just telling a friend the other day that they are my number 1 shoe purchase, ever. They are 100% worth the investment.

I think that it does help stop it. I make sure to let the shoes “breathe” for 24 hours before wearing them again (if possible) and I think that also helps a lot.

I have not been able to find any negatives. They are really fantastic shoes. My only “negative” is that I choose not to wear them if it’s raining out. That’s it. Ha!
