I also have both bags and agree it’s hard to choose only one. That being said, Saint Laurent is about to replace the Toy Loulou with an almost identical bag called Mini Loulou, where the main difference is that the Mini don’t have the adjustable strap anymore which also eliminates the option of wearing it as a wristlet. So the Toy has suddenly become even more loved by me since I heard about this. I’ve worn it as a wristlet several times and looove this option 😍

I have just found your video and I loved it! This is by far the best comparison video I have seen! Thank you soo much for measuring the bags and comparing how much it fits realistically and not stuffing the bags completely,, that has helped a lot! It is something else when you read the measurements online and then see it in a video. I am now convinced that toy loulou ist the bag for me 😍

This is by far the best review/comparison video I've watched regarding these two bags on KZbin! Thank you so much for the time and detail you put into this video. You've convinced me to go ahead and purchase the Soho Disco in black (I've been debating for the last 3 years!). I am fortunate to also have the toy lou lou in color latte. To help with the strap flipping out, put a little clear hair elastic on the strap to hold it down.

I have the Gucci Soho. It’s so low key, and I can used it without drawing too much attention. I used a black ribbon to wrapped around the loose part of the strap.

Hi Claire I've just found you and I'm binge watching. I have always wanted a chanel bag and I've just about got enough for a classic flap. HOWEVER, I want a bag I can use every day and not be paranoid, I want to enjoy my bag and from watching other videos I don't think chanel is the right fit. Lovely video, Claire. Can you tell me which leather is more robust? I'm afraid of scratches with daily use - which one would you recommend?

Thanks! It’s hard to say - probably the Soho disco as the leather on that is slightly pebbled and is probably a little bit more durable - I’ve used it a lot and haven’t got any marks or scratches on it all. The leather on the Loulou is a little smoother so might show scratches easier - but again I’ve used it a lot and there isn’t a mark on it. And as the Loulou is slightly padded in some ways that feels a little bit more robust. Sorry I’m probably not being that helpful 🤔. I do treat both of these bags with colonil cream to protect the leather - I’m careful with my bags but I don’t completely baby them x
