I passed my G2 road test yesterday and watching this video really helped me. I'm not from Guelph (actually I'm an hour away from there) and watching this video helped me recognize the area a lot!! Personally, my tester was super nice and I felt very comfortable with her. I did downhill parking, three-point turn, and reverse parking. If you're doing your test in Guelph, you gottt thissssss!! Look at this comments for 3 possible routes! **Passed my G2 today in Guelph!** Looked at my mirrors and blind spots a lot. For railway crossings, don't stop on them. When crossing them, don't break but take your feet of the gas and look both ways. I had to parallel park, do an uphill stop (wheels to the left) and a 3-point-turn. No reverse parking but I had already reversed. It was honestly really easy (much easier than the G I failed in Woodstock last month). One thing I would recommend is, make sure you feel confident when you go for your test. I did not feel confident in my last one and that's why I failed. Today I knew what I was doing and it felt much easier and less stressful. I find, even if you're going for your G, knowing how to park your car and do a curbside stop is essential before you go for your test: because that means that you know how to move your car and you have the dimensions down. Here's the route I did today: 1. Turn left onto Silvercreek Pkwy N from the Drive Test Parking Lot 2. Continue on Silvercreek Pkwy N after light (crossing Woodlawn) 3. Left turn onto Willow 4. Left turn onto Applewood Crescent 5. Right on Sunset Road, continue on this road (it turns into Valleyview Dr) 6. 3 Point Turn on Valleyview Dr - (Right) on Sunset Rd\* (it's the same road) 7. Right on Applewood Crescent 8. Right on Greengate Road 9. Right on AppleWood Crescent - Did a Parallel Park and an Uphill Stop here 10. Right onto Willow 11. Right onto Silvercreek 12. Continue on silvercreek and turn right into the Drive Test Parking Lot I had done all the routes I had seen online so I knew all of these roads except for Sunset Road. I though I would also include the other routes I found online, which really helped me prepare. Just passed my g2 after watching this video, but it was a different route than shown. The advice was very helpful though and in my route I went over the train tracks as well so knowing the proper method was helpful. Just make sure to practice a lot beforehand, get used to someone giving you directions and also to stay calm as if it was just another drive.

Just passed, this video was very helpful! 🎉 Another tip I would like to add is the examiners are watching you as soon as you pull into the drive test area, not just when they get into your car for your test. So make sure you are paying attention, follow road rules in the parking lot area and that you and the people who come with you are out of the way of other vehicles and parked cars. Good luck! 😊

Just got done doing my G2 at this location, this video helps but this wasn’t my location I think different examiners take you to different places but it’s all in the same area. If you want any tips just be confident and don’t be nervous, and if you know your going to make a mistake, make sure you know how to adjust yourself, my examiner made me do Parallel parking with a van and I was so nervous but I adjusted, and in result I passed my test.

I did my G2 at the temporary site and nerves aside it wasn’t that bad. The route I got had 2 train tracks and 2 left turns( one of them had an advanced green light). The residential area you go into has hella curvy turns.

Thanks so much for this video...I just had my G2 road test at the Guelph temporary drive test centre and passed. Joanne was my drive test examiner and she was so nice. She gave timely instructions and made me super calm throughout the test. I did Downhill parking, 3-point turn and Reverse parking at the end of the test.

@@olu4598 The test was just about 12 minutes (we had to stop for a passing train for about 3minutes). All the route was on the right ...so i was not asked to do any lane change when going. We entered a street with downhill slope and the examiner made me do a downhill parking. After driving about 100 metres into the street, she made me do a 3-point turn and we were on our way back to the drive test centre. We did about two left turns and two right turns within the streets and we were back to the road where I had to do a lane change because we had to turn left at the traffic lights. Drove straight to the test centre after that, and when we got back to the test centre, i was asked to do reverse parking into a spot. Please note that there are many rail crossing on the test route (I passed about 5 rail crossings for my test), you have to look in both directions when crossing without slowing down. Check your mirrors and blindspots (examiner emphasized this before we started, she said she wants to see my head move and not just my eyes only, else she will assume that i did not check mirror/blindspot) and maintain speed limit. You might be nervous at first when the examiner enters your car, but once you drive out of the test centre, it all becomes normal as if you are with a friend in the car. Best of luck.

When you come to a railway crossing, remember: Slow down, listen and look both ways to make sure the way is clear before crossing the tracks. If a train is coming, stop at least five metres from the nearest rail or gate. Do not cross the track until you are sure the train or trains have passed. DO NOT CROSS AT FULL SPEED!

I am definitely coming to Guelph to do my G2 test, I did my G2 test at Mississauga location and failed. There was so much traffic and a truck was speeding and started honking at me; because of that, The instructor automatically failed me. I felt depressed afterwards. Word of advice: Do not do road tests in bigger cities like Toronto, or Peel Region..there’s so much traffic and cars will be honking at you.

Definitely recommend doing at Guelph. I did it at Guelph too and passed in my first shot. I had a really chill instructor during the test and there was no traffic at all. There are three main important things to do: Uphill parking with a curb (Means turn steering wheel to left and then park), three point turn, and then parallel parking, and then reverse or forward parking depending on your instructor (I was told to do a forward parking). Just be confident and really chill, so best of luck!

Hi so my g2 test in guelph is in 3 days and I feel confident except I’m really confused about the school zone rule I realized that if it’s a school hour the lights for going 40km/h if flashing can sometimes not be flashing even during school times which is why Im confused because should I keep my speed at 50 or follow the school hour rule and go 40km/hr

I did my driving test January 24, and failed. 😩 I started at the temporary driving test Centre. Guys, look out for the railway 🚊 with a stop light 🚦 shortly after. Make sure you have enough space to pass the railway before you try to cross it. Forgot which road it is on. I didn’t cross it fully and I automatically got a fail. Going back soon to re do it. Wish me luck. 😅

@@aishaisiaka5324 hello! The instructors were very blunt and straight to the point. They werent rude, but not friendly. Theyre just there to do their job. But the route was easy, less then 10 minutes on the road. Simple. They tested on 3 point turn and parelle parking. They didnt test me on backparking or anything like that but be sure to practice just in case depending on the instructor. If your test is early in thw morning they kinda rush the test so they dont test you on much things. They also test on uphill and downhill parking. I made some errors but i still passed. If i can pass you can do. They are easy examiners if anything. Goodluck!

Hi, excellent video. I have a question, in a right/left turn at the stoplights, the road that I want to get in has two lines in both directions. A pedestrian is crossing from the lines in my direction to the lines in the opposite direction. At which moment should I move forward? When the pedestrian just crosses completely my lines or when the pedestrian crosses all the road, and he/she is on the opposite sidewalk? Thanks.

Full stop at red light. Wait for all pedestrians to pass. If there are no cars coming from the left in 2 lanes, you can make a turn. Turn into the right lane.

So I went to this location to get my G2 test done, I got there at 12:45pm and checked in. 15 minutes before 1:25 as scheduled, an examiner approached me at the drivers said saying my exams has been canceled. I asked why he said because my mask wasn’t covering my nose whiles I was waiting for him in the car. I was shocked because I was drinking water so I could I have mask on while drinking and I even pulled the mask up as soon as I saw him approaching. Meanwhile I saw another examiner who wasn’t wearing his mask until he was approaching the car he was going to. It was as if the examiner has something against me or just didn’t like me for whatever reason because his attitude towards me was uncalled for.

@NorthSideCustoms Toronto He didn’t even mention his name. I tried to go inside to talk to someone but there was a lady outside who does covid screening. She said there’s nothing they can do about it unless I rebook. I don’t want to play racist card here but I truly felt they were being racist especially when I noticed I was the only black person there and African too.

@NorthSideCustoms Toronto 😂😂Hopefully you don’t get the same examiner that I had. Maybe he was just having a bad day too. Just make sure after you have checked in and back in you never take your mask off. Your mask should be fully on while you wait for your examiner. If you feel the need to drink water like I did, just step out and drink but you mask have to be on while you wait.

Pretty much the same. Mainly Pull over is just parking to the side while driving and then parking. Emergency parking follows the same process but you just need to put on the emergency button. Honestly they will ask you to do a pull over during the test in a neighbourhood and just do a uphill parking 👍

ANYONE WHOS DOING IT AT THE TEMPORARY! -Passed yesterday with ease, arrive atleast 30 min before your appointment however I had a 3:22 appointment and waited in my until 4:05 -in the parking lot there is a hidden stop sign up High make sure you see it - turn left out of the parking lot onto Dawson then right onto Woodlawn (watch there is a light just ahead of the tracks so you may need to be stopped behind the tracks) -turn right onto Edinburgh and then left onto speedvale -Then right onto Westmount and right again onto Kimberley -On Kimberley you do a downhill stop 3 point turn then parallel park -then proceed back to the Center via Westmount, speedvale then Dawson -Remeber train tracks!

This is dishonest to say the least. If you live and drive in the GTA, you should be learning to drive in the GTA, NOT Guelph. They are 100% different places to drive in. This is why the GTA has the highest insurance rates in the province. Because people are learning to drive in a calm city, and then going home to a very busy city, and getting into accidents as a result of this because they are not prepared to drive in the area where they will be driving.
